    Vizio E601i-A3 backlight issue

When I turn on the TV the backlights flash on for a second and go out, I get the Vizio logo on screen for that short time. It passes the flashlight test.
Will a bad backlight cause this shutdown or should I be looking at the power board.

    CN301 CONNECTOR
    Readings as follows
    VLED1-1+ 125 volts then drops to 0
    VLED1-1- 0 volts
    VLED1-2+ 0 volts
    VLED1-2- 109 VOLTS THEN DROPS TOO 0
    VLED2-1+ 105 volts then drops to 0
    VLED2-1- 0 volts
    VLED2-2+ 0 volts
    VLED2-2- 130 volts then drops to 0

CN201 reading seem right, will post if needed.

Looking online at replacement boards I see near connector CN301, i'm guessing these are
high voltage safety capacitors ??. There are 4 near the connector and 2 more behind them.
I see some used boards with yellow ones, with numbers F105k 450mpb. On mine they are
black with or gray with MPHB 105k.Could the yellow ones be an improved version and could
    these posssibly be the problem?

Prolly bad backlights, unhook backlight connector from powerboard and check those VLED pins on powerboard.

The measurements are posted above. Will a bad led, not the whole strip shut it down?

Yes, plus that symptom is very common when bad backlight/s or backlight connection, there's ways to test them, I think I would tear it down to get a better look at them and see if they all light up the same and maybe test them individually if needed. Must be VERY CAREFUL tho, the screens are very flimsy and easy to break. Check out some youtube videos, there's a bunch on vizios, hardest part is getting the screen off and reassembled without breaking/cracking it.

Maybe to be sure and cover everything before tearing it down, do the testing in this link, I think this tv has a similar powerboard, I would do the tests and be sure to do the stand alone powerboard and backlight test that Budm describes: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=79224

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

              Vizio m601d-a3 backlight issue
              by Mectronik
Hello, I'm working on a Vizio m601d-a3 with a backlight issue that I am having a difficulty diagnosing it. As it sits, the tv powers on, displays the Vizio symbol and with nothing hooked up it will then display no signal but you can only see half of the screen. I know it's a back light issue because the picture is there without light behind it, as I can see it by doing a light test. I've taken off the paneling and done a visual inspection. If I disconnect the tcon ribbon cable to the affected side then the entire half of the screen goes away. I've checked voltages at the LED driver from the main...

              Vizio P759-G1, Tcon issue?
              by EazyBone
Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

              Any help appreciated

              Vizio E65-E1 strange image issue
              by remmurdmd
Hi everyone. First new thread here. I picked up a TV on the side of the road. It appears to function correctly with the exception of an image issue I'm unable to describe. I've searched for “double picture” and “double image” all over the web and all I get is repair videos for when the picture is blurry and the connections are getting interference between the display panels and the t-con board. I believe this is a t-con board issue, but I haven't found anything telling me conclusively that this is where my issue is. I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide. I live a pretty busy life...

              Issue with 42 Vizio TV
              by derrickcaputo
              Hello,
I have a 42" Vizio TV. I hooked my tablet to the HDMI inputs. Everything was fine until the screen went black and now the only input that works on the TV is coax. No hdmi, no component, no rca. I tried hooking up a laptop to the Hdmi port and the computer
detected the TV model but no image.

Is there anyone having the same issue? Did you find any solution?
