Re: LG 42LN5400 - restarts every 10 sec
No, I haven't written any so far, but I believe, I would be able to do it. My NAND flash chip is SKhynix "H27U1G8F2C" , but there is no exactly the same marking between supported chips of my programmer. The most similar is "HY27U1G8F2B". I don't know, if second 'Y' in the label is something different, but last character 'B' means die generation, C is modern, than B, but maybe its not such a big deal.

Thank you, have to etch some pcb board to fit NAND there, since I have no board like this, to connect it to my programmer. Will response as soon I read the content.Comment

Re: LG 42LN5400 - restarts every 10 sec
Lotus is there some definitive test to determine if it's the nand before removing and using programmer or is like a high percentage that it's a nand or some type of memory problem when you get the boot loop?Last edited by nomoresonys; 02-27-2023, 06:40 AM.Comment

Re: LG 42LN5400 - restarts every 10 sec
Well, I wanted to speed up the process by etching a PCB for reading the NAND, but my programmer can not identify it ( there is some picture of original adapter in programmer software, and there should be made some modification even on original adapter, so ... few hours of working on it are in ... ).
I have to wait for adapter from China, so I guess, I will revive this thread later. Thank for all your help so far.Comment

Re: LG 42LN5400 - restarts every 10 sec
Small update - there was some USB plugged in in time, while my friend realised, that TV is restarting. So definitely TV stops working only during some kind of usb plugged in.
Can I consider this to pure software issue then?Comment

Re: LG 42LN5400 - restarts every 10 sec
well if the only problem is it won't play nice with a certain thumb drive or play some files from it that the tv isn't designed to play, then probably so. Like the old prescription, guy goes to doctor and says doc it hurts when I do this, doc says just don't do that, pay at the desk.Last edited by nomoresonys; 03-01-2023, 08:11 AM.Comment

Haha, yes, I told to my friend to not use any USB until I got that adapter from aliexpress to read NAND flash. I believe, it can be fixable with help of you guys. Thank you all so far, will update this thread, when I read NAND. Bye.Comment

Quote from LG:
"It can also be a problem if your external drive is too large. Some LG TV models do not recognize flash drives larger than 32 GB and hard drives with a capacity of 2 TB."
It will be necessary to check with a smaller USB Flash (16-32Gb).Last edited by lotas; 03-01-2023, 10:04 AM.Comment

Re: LG 42LN5400 - restarts every 10 sec
I did, and it worked fine. Probably its normal behavior with larger storage. Looks, like I wasted your time with this thread, gentlemen. I am really sorry. Anyway, you learnt me something new, so I am very thankfull to you.Comment

no problem at all, that's what people are here for, to solve problems and learn things AND sometimes to tell others I told you so.Comment

I was eluding to as much in post 10 but I didn't want to say your friend was just not grasping the simple solution.Comment

I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old... -
by rouninHi everyone,
I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

by ugamazingI have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!
We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre... -

Hello guys!
I have a strange issue with my laptop keyboard and I'm lost trying to detect what's wrong - the KB9028Q-C or the keyboard itself.
It powers on OK and has no other issues except the following:- CAPS LOCK does not work at all
- Fn button toggles Flight Mode
- When I press 't' or '5', it produces 't5', and when I press 'y' or '6', it produces 'y6'
- (with SHIFT pressed: 't%' and 'y^' respectively)
but when I press and hold...06-27-2025, 01:10 AM -
by dmccul2698Hello, My head unit developed strange behaviors so I ran the built-in diagnostic package which returned "No EEProm". The service manual says there is no EEProm connected. I approached Pioneer and they said to swap out the DSP board. All said and good but the DSP board is $860 USD. I am hoping someone can help me
1). Understand the schematic and check the connections between the EEProm and DSP
2). Check the functionality of the EEProm
I don't know if this is the unit's problem but it's a place to start.
I have little to no electronic experience...6 Photos-
