Are you serious or are you wanting a picture of the boards? If you're serious, the four caps on the PSU?

Re: KDL-40W4100 Flickering
go ahead and heat up those electrolytic caps with a hairdryer, start with those 4 by the connector there, heat them up for a few minutes, then try the tv, don't wait til it cools down, try it while its still hot, see if there's any change.Leave a comment:

KDL-40W4100 Flickering
I get a black flicker on the screen regardless the input. It doesn't matter if a HDMI cord is plugged in or not, you can still see the flicker. It used to come out of it after about 20 minutes of viewing but now it seems to always stay there. Here is a video: https://www.veed.io/view/26c0999a-e3...bc?panel=shareTags: None

by DrvLikHellHello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.
The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...-

by fixit007I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.
Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!
Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.
Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick... -
by reessiHello,
The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..
They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.
Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.
I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...-

by AdenitzHello to all,
I have just seen this YT video about solving flickering issue on SAMSUNG TV. Reading many comments it seems this works.
But I wonder what is done here and how this solved the issue. I'm not able to find the schematics so cannot explain to myself.
Few years ago I had a flickering problem on one monitor in some factory which I managed to solve by inserting UPS between monitor and power outlet. I also notice on this occasion the flickering was gone if I put insulation tape on the power plug like shown in the attached picture to remove connection with the PE conductor... - Loading...
