2 red blink code on old led tv Sony KDL-40W2000

Hi all, the TV KDL-40W2000 was flashed by a lightning.
Firstly I got the 3 red blink code.

Following other threads I changed the power supply board and got always 3 blinks.
So I changed also the mainboard and now I get 2 blinks error code. Tried also with the other ps board, still getting 2 blinks.

The TV turns on for a minute or two with green led and blank screen, if I press buttons the green led blinks fast. It turns to 2 red blinking led after a while.
What else can I do?

try a firmware update/pair, might be something else, but sometimes the surge just messes up the firmware and they always advise updating when changing out the mainboard.

Fault: does not turn on, gives error 2 (LED blinks 2 times).
Reason: the TV does not turn on due to the failure of the DC / DC converter IC4500 (BD9775FV) on the B2H-BOARD board, error 2 (VD1.8, DE5V / 6V Voltage Trouble (DCALERT2)).
You can check the IC4500 by removing the signals from the following pins: 12, 13, 14, 17, 25 and if at 12.13 (high level), at 14 (input voltage), at 17, 25 (no pulse generation), then the microcircuit is faulty.
Solution: Replace IC4500 (BD9775FV) P/N: 6-707-927-01.

yep, same deal there with schematic: https://electronicshelponline.blogsp...-blinking.html I always start with the simplest things first ala Karl Childers, as in make sure it's not just the firmware.

These models were updated through this socket using a "Memory stick"

This may not work, here you need an original Memory stick of a small size (up to 512 Mb).

Update: Today I turned on the TV with the remote sequence for the service menu and it started the 1-blink error code. What do you think?

I totally agree. As I tried to update firmware and the speed of the new memory cards is too fast! I had to resort to getting a 128MB old memory card that worked a treat from a Sony camera at a car boot sale. Hard to find them though!

I have the adapteer now and I ordered also a microsd of 128 MB hoping to emulate an old memory stick. Anyway I don't know how to start the f/w upgrade process as the tv enters the red blinking very soon.

As stated previously it will not work as I have tried! The memory sticks that are later are too fast. I have been down the same route as you without any success. If I recall you place the memory stick in the slot by the tuner module ensuring the power to the TV is off (plug is removed from the TV). Plug the TV into the mains and wait. The rest is down to patience around 5-10minutes if I recall as it has been a while.
Obviously you will need the correct firmware for this model of TV assuming you have it, which maybe hard to find as Sony have withdrawn all support for them on there website a few years back as I recall!

Though reading your original post if you have a 2 blink code then it will be one of two things as Lotas has stated which I have never found in his post 5 or the main board failure. On every occasion for this model I have found it to be the main processor failure on the main board which I have had on similar boards of the same range with only Freeview reception and not satellite reception as some of this range have Freesat. The satellite (Freesat) range have firmware issues, which yours is not.
So I think you are barking up the wrong tree check your pins on the IC4500 28 and 27 will be shorted to ground by the processor, which I have found previously.
