    L32 HDTV10A Nightmare

I recently bought the darn thing from an acquaintance knowing that the TV was receiving no power. Quick trouble shooting found that there as multiple problems with the power supply. Easy enough fix.

Once i got the replacement parts in, like trends in other Vizio products, the amber light for standby was there. Once i pressed the power button the light would turn green ... ... and that is all. No other response what so ever.

I talked to the previous owner and asked about what may have happened to the TV before and he simply brought over the original main board. Neither the Original or the Replacement that was in the TV have any Sort of damage or ware of any sort to them. voltages check out and i honestly don't know where to go from here.

Ahh, crud. My best advice - get your money back. I'd say there is a significant chance that proper handling precautions were not taken when the original main board was removed.

Two things to try. Turn the TV on on a dark room with the back off the TV and watching from the back of the TV. Do you see anything that could be a flash from the backlights?

Hook up a signal source - DVD player, video game, whatever to one of the inputs. Step through the inputs. Do you hear the sound at any point?
