    This 8-pin chip is for controlling the PowerGood signal, as I said earlier.
    My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

      There are schottky rectifiers with a reverse voltage (Vrrm) rating of 250V e.g. MBR40250 - 250V, 40A (!) - this is only available in a TO-220 package.

        Interesting. Looks like the parts were released in 2004 and 2005.
