I read EBOOK of Testing Electronic Component and found that
"In order to test the small blue resin coated ceramic disk capacitor which has 104 50v specification,it is possible to test this small ceramic capacitor by making use of analogue meter.
Set to times 10Kohm that has 12v output from the probe to check disorder of ceramic capacitor.
It is not uncommon that testing result of digital capacitance meter is okay,But It show shorted reading when you check it with analogue meter."

Weird one here. I have a special GPU made by DFI (Model LS3440) from an Arcade gaming machine. The GPU uses the S3 440 GTX Chipset, and has dual DVI-I ports. For some reason, the analogue has stopped working on both outputs (DVI-I to VGA cable). DVI-D and digital outputs work fine, just the analogue that has stopped working.
Now, I could get around this by using Active cables to convert the signal over to Digital, but its got me wondering exactly what the issue could be. I have inspected the GPU and DVI ports under my microscope, but nothing stands out. Because... -
I have recently acquired a Dynamco D7100 analogue oscilloscope without a user manual. As this is the first time I have owned or used an oscilloscope I would like to try and find an instruction book. The manufacturers no longer hold any information and a Google search only found one site but when I downloaded a 'service manual' all I got was gobbledegook. Any help would be gratefully appreciated or even pointers to a generic manual where I could learn more. -
Hello, I just replaced a motherboard on a T14 Gen 1 (20S0-0030US), with a 'working' T14 Gen 1 (20S0-005RUS). The screen glitches (see attachment) randomly or under minimal load. I tried running a memtest86 but as you can see it just glitches out before anything can happen. And the only way I can boot the laptop back up is by removing the CMOS battery for a while.
Any ideas? I'm seeing that you can bypass the on board memory by messing with some resistors, but i'd like to know what the issue seems to be first before doing any of that....11-22-2025, 10:26 PM
