    Uni-t UTP3315TFL-II stuck at 40V laboratory power supply

    Hello

    My 2 years old unit is showing and outputing around 44.33v , values are real comparing with my tester... current seems to be fine if could be tested passing CC to CV as usual, rotating knov volt does not change values at all.... always arround 44 vol,

    PLEASE

    what to test?? in the pictures i have checked
    all is clean at 100%!! not blown components or traces of exploded caps or anything... most diodes are ok and transistors too i think..caps are good shape

      resolder all the front panel pots - they have hardly any solder on them!!

          revised and they are almost perfect soldered...

              it started to work fine again by itself, maybe the relay stucked or similar due to its sounds...tks for your help, and if you can confirm that a relay might have affected to generate this issue you are welcome..

                  A stuck relay is not the problem, that does not cause the output voltage to get stuck high.
                  I see many bad solder joints on the larger through-hole parts. Spend some time and resolder all of them.
                  Some pretty dodgy parts used, this Vreg IC (pic) seems to have been found on the road in china and put to use.

                  You can hit the unit with your hand, or tap the boards with a pen and see if a bad connection still exists. Because the fault will blow up whatever is connected to the power supply... it makes sense to actually troubleshoot and fix it before it kills something.

                      agree with bad solder.i have cheap axiomet linear psu and was full of bad joints out from the box..to92 transistor bad soldered and not triger the relay.booth of them i have two.resolder booth chance all the c(r)apacitors and is working properly.

                          I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                          Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                          I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                          The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                          With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                          I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

                          One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

                          I have a Hitachi 57F710E rear projection set with a bad power supply board. I've tried to fix it with help from this forum as well as another one, but without success. Today I found a Hitachi rear projection set for sale on Facebook that looked just like mine. After contacting the seller I found out it was a 51F510. According to the service manuals my set uses a HA01312, POWER UNIT DP4X-DM_24W and the 51F510 uses a HA01313, U901, POWER UNIT DP4X_24W.

                          Does anyone know if these 2 power supply boards are interchangeable?

                          I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

                          I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

                          I have tried almost every bios available on various platforms about this laptop but the problem is still the same.
