Re: dead arcade (peter chou) power supply

The game is Lethal Enforcers II. http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_de...p?game_id=8420

It is a gun game with the monitor placed horizontal in the cabinet looking up at a mirror placed at a 45 degree angle. The video is inverted on the monitor so it shows correctly after reflecting in the mirror. I also have the original Lethal Enforcers game PCB that I can swap in to play that game as well. It has worked well until the power supply just decided to act up. If anyone is interested it could be for sale.

No recoil and unfortunately the original guns (revolver style) were replaced with ones that look a lot like Happ 45 Cal. optical guns.

Re: dead arcade (peter chou) power supply

I am happy to report that this power supply is working again. I found three open resistors once I got it through my head that I really had to unsolder on leg to properly test them. R3 (150k) and R6 & R11 (270k) were all open. Replacing them brought it back to life. Interestingly enough this had been suggested on another forum:

I am also going to replace the filter caps, 4700uf cap, and TL494 ic with new parts before I put it all back together. Thanks again for all the replies in this thread.

Curious humor. PSU "OK" is ~exactly~ 4 months before schematic date.
