Let us know how it goes! That Chinese Plasma Cutter I fixed in the spring is still going strong. Problem is to remember what goes where after something has been apart for a long time.Leave a comment:

Re: Miller 375 Plasma Burt Cap..
Been a while but was waiting on the PTC R123 part Number (then got distracted) But,did just today get a reply from Miller on the PTC it is a VISHAY (BC COMPONENTS) P/N: 2381-663-93025 VISHAY (BC COMPONENTS) P/N: PTCTL8NR100HBE so I will click go on the shopping cart Wednesday.
Hope to free some time up mid next week and reassemble this been taking up way to much bench space.Leave a comment:

Re: Miller 375 Plasma Burt Cap..
That is what I was hoping for. Just the relay and the resistor. It could have been more, but I am sure the relay went out first, then the resistor burnt up.Leave a comment:

Re: Miller 375 Plasma Burt Cap..
It looks like they used a ceramic resistor originally, 10 ohm
Digikey A102453-ND or TWW5J10RE-ND (5watt); A103695-ND (7 watt); A131255-ND (10 watt)
If that ptc is too large there are likely smaller ones that would work. I was basing it on the 600 volt rating of the miller part.

Re: Miller 375 Plasma Burt Cap..
570-1024-ND is quite large, hopefully it will fit: it's over 1.3" in diameter... At least it's thinner, however.
I'd be tempted to stick a regular resistor there, however...Leave a comment:

I posted this: This digikey 570-1024-ND would likely work but it is $9.24R123 Is a Thermistor Miller Part # 200656 I Found For 12.88.
Their Description "THERMISTOR PTC .10A 600VRMS 10 OHM"
Still Seems like an Excessive Price For a Thermistor? Anyone have a source for alternate source? I tried Digikey, Mouser, Etc... But Nothing with them specs..

Re: Miller 375 Plasma Burt Cap..
The only test I can come up with for the 218760A is to ensure there's no connectivity between pins when it's out of circuit much like a MOSFET. Otherwise probably SOL other than getting another from Miller if it needs to be replaced.
Likewise for 200656 it seems Miller wants custom fees for custom parts...Last edited by eccerr0r; 07-13-2018, 10:57 AM.Leave a comment:

by CapLeakerHmm… someone brought me this Miller Diversion 165 TIG welder for repair. Claim is it doesn’t arc. Well it tries doing something if I put the tungsten tip straight to the aluminum plate. All I hear is a little tick… tick… tick…, I have the power LED on, but the other (blue?) LED doesn’t light up. I think it is supposed to when there is an actual arc.
So I opened it up, found a bad looking connector between the main board and the small HF board. Checked the SCR and few other things on it and found nothing. Then tried again. Same thing. I will not for its own life strike... -
by ArMaaN376Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board... -
by jm1234Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults... -
by KYBOSHPicked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.
When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on... -
by alltvrepairsHi,
I have this almost brand new Plasma was well stored. I would like to repair it for a friend of mine.
I have noticed that it works for few seconds then switches Off the Power_ On signal. Have disconnected boards and left maion board and power supply and still the same. The power supply with PS_ON and VA signals On stays on so it is not a problem in the power supply.
Any one met this problem in the past?...10-08-2025, 07:34 AM - Loading...
