    Cooltek 600W (CT-600) recapped...issues

First of all I would like to say this is an excellent forum with a lot of great tips and tricks.

I recapped three psu´s late weekend.... two chieftec 360w and one cooltek 600w the chiefteks now work great with no issues but the cooltek is giving me lots of headache.

A little background about the cooltek bought it in the beginning of 2006

    http://www.sweclockers.com/articles_...id=570&page=10

    http://www.cooltek.de/

It started after a couple of years to have cold boot-up problems running a dual core opteron system with a HD2900xt until it refused to boot it anymore
tried it in another system amd socket 754 with a Radeon 9600xt and it worked there until it started to spin the northbridge fan and the the other fans as well as the fan controller was flickering sending out 4.8V on the 12V line and 1.75V on the 5V line when the computer was in stand-by.

I decided to check it out and to my surprise in had Fuhjyyu caps on the secondary and those had swollen very bad so I recapped it using Rubicon and Teapos I know Teapos isn't preferable but it was what I had at hand

However it didn't do the trick and the symtoms remained it can't boot any systems... tried four of them from socket A to phenom II .

12V line still measures around 4.8V in standby and 5V line around 1.75V

Before recapping the lines were fluctuating +/- 0.1V without load but now they are stable but it still as useless.

I hope someone here has an ideas about what the fault might be

Very Important...did you use ruby con or rubicon. Also, did you test the caps with a esr meter to make sure they were ok?

it was Rubycon I used but mostly Teapos unfortunatly and I never checked them either since I don't have a esr meter but they are new have had them laying around for a few years.I know it´s utterly stupid but I was anxious to try it out I can't get hold of any good caps locally here so....but hell I could do the chinese touture of recapping it again and it would be easiest for me to order from Elfa in Sweden.

The 7 caps I changed were marked

      4. 3300uF 10V.0511.vent EC105 Celcius diameter 10mm, pitch 5mm
      1. 4700uF 16V.0511.vent EC105 Celcius diameter 13mm pitch 5mm
      1. 1500uF 10V.CA08.vent 105celcius C(M) diameter 10mm
      1. 1000uF 10V.0509.vent 105celcius diamter 8mm

      to be changed to

      Pitch: 5 mm

thou the diameter of them might cause problems getting them there as well as the pitch on 4700uF since it's very crowded in there

I continue to check if elfa has any other suitable size wise

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm
        by cubytus
        Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

        Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
        by TrueSword88
        Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

        Hoping to fix...

Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive
        by FALKLAN
Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....

ASUS GTX 1650 Gpu.Initialize Interrupt request line stuck asserted
        by mindoverflow
        hello,

there is an asus gtx1650 which displays fine in windows but if i run a benchmark test it displays artifacts and the driver crashes after a second or two.

I changed pads and thermal paste.

I run mats test but it is reporting 0 errors.

I then tried to run the mods version 400.271_1650 test, it first ran and stopped with a 'breakpoints limit reached after 5 retries' error and the fans went full speed.

After a reboot, I tried to run the test again, but now the test fails and says "ERROR: Couldn't clear GPU's interrupt...

Nintendo 2DS SD Card Reader issue. Problem on the clock line?
        by Technomancer
I have a 2DS that I am working on that has a problem reading SD cards. It knows that card is in the slot (which, means the detect pin is working anyway) but it says it can’t read the card.

Here is what I have done so far:
-Tried SD card in another 2DS and on PC, works great.
-Tried piggybacking another SD card slot (just so I didn’t have to take the other one off), same issue.
-Compared voltage drop readings from a working 2DS to the faulty one. All reads are very close except one, the 7th pin from the left, with the pins closest to you, which I believe...
