Delta DPSN-225CP AF broken component

Hello, I have power supply here from a Netgear POE switch.

It has a broken off component. It's marked 8101 and goes in position PTC1, It has 2 legs.
It has a resistance of 1.076 kΩ

Any ideas what it could be ?

not exactly.
a thermister is used to detect temeraure.

a ptc is used to control current.

PTC is Thermistor.
PTC and NTC thermistor.

How is it connected in the circuit? Does the resistance go up a lot when heated with hair dryer?

Yes. When I heat the component the resistance does go up.
I'm guessing its some sort of thermal sensor as its mounted on the back of the heatsink with two MOSFETS.

I couldn't find my hairdryer so I lazily used by butane torch. I was a little over enthusiastic and the black casing combusted.
Attached is a photo of the item inside.

Looking for a positive, the component is still "alive" I measure the same resistance on it's two pads. Maybe I could solder a couple of wires to them and mount it back on the heatsink with some thermal adhesive if I can't find a replacement.

I've tried to solder to the pads, but they are not taking it. My search continues.
