Looking to Substitute Fairchild KA3511 PWM Controller

    Hi,

I am working on a PSU and suspect that the Fairchild KA3511 Controller is gone. I have hard time to find replacement and wonder if there is substitute from other brands that I can use.

Appreciate if anyone can help out.

    Thanks.

I've never seen them except in Fortron-Source-Sparkle-PowerQ-Powerman PSUs. Does Fairchild sell chips directly to the public? I believe that their parent, National Semi., does and even has a sample program, but you have to pay shipping & handling.
