    Okay, so upper CPU VRM MOSFETs are not shorted, at least.

    I just had another idea before digging into further motherboard troubleshooting...
    Connect that MSI motherboard to a PSU (doesn't matter if it's the Cooler Master or some other one), and with everything connected properly, short the PSU's green (PS_ON) wire to ground. Does the PSU stay on, or does it do the "short spin of fans" again?

    Also, I would advise you disconnect the HDD from that PCs while doing these tests. Every time the PSU powers ON and OFF, the HDD goes through a power cycle (or possibly at least counts it), so it is not so good for it. Once you get that motherboard running, then you can connect the HDD again.

        That rules out short-circuit on the motherboard. However, the circuit on the motherboard that controls PS_ON may have some problems. Was this motherboard ever running before? And if yes, when did it stop working?

          Re: CoolerMaster RS-450-ACLY PSU issue?

          I must admit that the test was wrong approached, because MSI 770T-C45 is not fully functional (has moments when lose BIOS settings and gives a long beep and two short and recovers after 2-3 restarts), because I considered the starting sequence does not necessarily require a verified mobo.
          MSI 770T-C45 will be a subject of diagnosis, after a perfect cleaning and strict visual check with a magnifying glass.

          Therefore I rebuilt tests with DFI P35 T2RL Blood Iron motherboard, E6300 cpu, 2x1GB Team Extreem dark , Asus HD2400 Pro, the default computer psu - Codegen 350W as "another psu":
          1. CM psu 24pins+12V cpu: short spin of fans and shut down;
          2. CM psu 24pins only: short spin of fans and shut down;
          3. CM psu 24pins+12V cpu from another psu: short spin of fans and shut down;
          4. another psu 24pins+12V cpu CM psu:short spin of fans and shut down;
          5. another psu 24pins+12V: normal boot to Windows.

            So the Cooler Master still does the same thing now, even with the DFI board?

              Re: CoolerMaster RS-450-ACLY PSU issue?

              Yep, almost the same problems DFI P35 T2RL Blood Iron motherboard...
              DFI nF4 Ultra-D Expert motherboard was suspected for problems, the MSI mobo was received recently and did not have time to dwell on it, but I thought it's okay to use to verify the CM psu.
              DFI BloodIron go smoothly with Codegen psu of 350W, even an ock of E6300 CPU from 1800MHz to 2000MHz for (I tried it 2-3 years ago and she can run loose 500MHz FSB).
              I do not know what to say ...

                I guess you should try a recap on that Cooler Master PSU then. In particular, change all of the very small caps on the secondary side first. Perhaps one of them is messing with the PS_ON or PG signals. It's rare, but I recall someone did fix their PSU here by doing just that. If not, then change the big caps too.

                  MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                  by rounin
                  Hi everyone,

                  I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                  🛠 Original Issue
                  The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
                  Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

                  I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

                  ⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

                  Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                  by ugamazing
                  I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

                  We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

                  A weird issue has troubled me. If i power on off the laptop 20 times then only power LED will lit but no fan spin no display. At this stage gpu, vram. DDR voltage. 5v 3.3v 1.8v and the rest are present and cpu core is stuck at 0.84v.

                  And sometimes lets say the 21st time it will boot perfectly and there is image and everything is working perfectly and at this stage i see cpu core...

                  Hello guys!
                  I have a strange issue with my laptop keyboard and I'm lost trying to detect what's wrong - the KB9028Q-C or the keyboard itself.
                  It powers on OK and has no other issues except the following:
                  • CAPS LOCK does not work at all
                  • Fn button toggles Flight Mode
                  • When I press 't' or '5', it produces 't5', and when I press 'y' or '6', it produces 'y6'
                  • (with SHIFT pressed: 't%' and 'y^' respectively)
                  I initially thought it was a keyboard malfunction (internal short, etc.),
                  but when I press and hold...
