    Acbel ME2 plus 500watt

I salvage this PSU from a working dell server, found a big 200v filtering cap was bulging. What is the recommended type/brand/series of caps for replacement ? I am kinda afraid sooner or later that cap would blow up on me, I seen it happened to my friend on a cheap PSU, it literally smoke then it "Pop". Other than that, other caps are in good shape based on visual inspection.

    Thanks in advance

You need to check the dimensions of the capacitors if we are to be able to make any recommendations
Also post the brand and model of the capacitors.

P.S: Sometimes only the plastic top is bulging, you can push down on it to feel if the actual capacitor is bulging or if it's only the plastic...

This one seems it is bulging too much - definitelly cap problem.

As always, I'd replace all caps while at it, the rest will fail too.

Seasonic B12 BC-550 – barely 2 years old and with BAD CAPS already!
          by momaka
I know I've been a little scarce lately (like the last 2-3 years), but I'm still here and still doing my thing with fixing PSUs.

For today's considerations, I have a Seasonic B12 BC-550 [A551bcafh] 550 Watt ATX power supply for you (click on links for full size images).

It's a modern ATX unit with fixed (non-modular) cables and an 80-plus bronze certificate. Here's the label:

Magnum IA.100 Amplifier Switches on, No Output, Possible Input Side fault?
          by flibidy
I have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.

The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.

Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

PowerMac G4 MDD ACBel Power Supply issues (API1PC36 400W)
          by Snownomow
          Hello!

First want to thank folks on this forum (Toasty, etc) for the very useful info I've found here that has allowed me to repair a PowerMac G4 MDD Samsung power supply and get this ACBel one working better!

I got a PowerMac G4 MDD for free as it was dead (not booting at all). I was able to confirm it was it's ACBel power supply as another (above mentioned Samsung) power supply works ok with the system.

With this ACBel power supply installed, the system would not boot at all, no power light blink, nothing. I've gone ahead and replaced the "12...

need help with Apple AcBel 1PC36
          by jetblue
hi,i recently recapped a non responsive acbel 1pc36 power supply. i need to know what is the plugged in state for this supply with no jumper wire on the on plug pins.
is it normal for the fans to come on and meter readings on the plug to be normal? or does the start pin need to be bridged to get any readings from the plug?

it seems like its stuck on on and not standby from what i read on the threads.
its not cycloning only when i bridge the other set of pins will it do that but im not sure if its because im not plugging the pins right because after a while it stops....
