You must have a sad, sad boring life if you hate on people harmlessly enjoying life with an animal costume.

Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

I do have one thing to note about that modded power supply, though: the guy used only one heatsink for both the primary and secondary side silicon parts - and that is quite unsafe as you only have two thin insulating pads between primary side rectified live rail and secondary rails/ground.

Also, the long wires connecting these parts to the heatsinks make for some great antennas . Just imagine the RF noise in that room with that PC turned on . I think this will make any CB / amateur radio enthusiast cringe.

        Absolutely insane!

This! I also wouldn't want the primary heat sink or the transistors exposed like that.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

And imagine the capacitance of those cables, the driving circuitry must be all happy from that. And the efficiency…

wont work well with the drop in those thin wires.
as for rfi if a strong hf signal were to occur nearby it might get interesting.(looks at homebrew amp under desk)

Interesting idea! That is pretty crazy. Wouldn't that also slow down the switching time of the transistors? How would the feedback loop respond to that kind of mod?

Might make it go unstable. Also might, er, probably will have increased ringing from the inductance. And increased EMI/RFI.

Not surprised, seeing as it is from a russian website!

Well, at least the primary transistors are BJTs. Imagine if they were MOSFETs. I bet the Gate would pick up all kinds of trash then. Maybe even enough to nuke the FET?

Bonus points if he used solid-core wire .

Yes, all of that capacitance is likely to drive the BJTs from OFF to ON state much slower. And that is guaranteed to lower efficiency.
