I have seen some empty PSU's but that one has more empty space than actual PSU.

That's not too bad, actually. The secondary side looks OK - it actually has the inductors in the pi-filter populated. I'd probably recap it, maybe put in a primary-side RFI filter and use it.

          too late.
after i took pics i reasembled it.
customer asked what to do with it and i said toss it.
it got left behind so being in a destructive mood i crushed it with my bare hands and wadded it up.next time i will wear gloves as they didnt deburr the sheetmetal and i got cut.

And I thought that my Deer PSU was empty enough.... This Codegen is even emptier than my Deer PSU.
Wow, this Codegen even says it will pump out 400W.... I highly doubt it. Maybe 200W max?

I'd trust my L&C PSU to power my backup PC over that Codegen PSU. In fact, my recapped L&C is still powering my backup PC fine. No BSODs, instability, nothing bad.

I thought my L&C was an empty PSU.

Actually, it's TERRIBLE! Not only is it missing an EMI/RFI filter and any sort of surge suppression (a good PSU will have at least one varistor), the output rectifiers are WAY too small. You'd have to rebuild the entire thing. I suspect that the transformer is grossly undersized as well. Oh yeah, the heatsinks are too small too.

Oh yeah.... as tradition among craptastic PSU companies, this one also has crap caps.

                    LG GRAM random bsod SOLVED
                    by alambrose
LG Gram 15Z980 picked up on Ebay for $200 (was sold as parts because no M2 drive and bios pw locked), but otherwise intact and working.

Threw a 500gb M2 in, and was able to install Windows. On Gram, Win activation is stored in the bios, so Windows was automatically activated. I still kept getting random bsod's. Also bought a pw and unlocked the bios.

Upgraded Windows to 11, still didn't solve the random & frequent bsod's. Cleaned & reseated all cables, RAM, etc... still getting frequent bsod's. Bought & installed a new stick of RAM, still getting frequent...

                    by the Benninger
HI Folks, I have a problem randomly a BSOD screen appears in the event viewer indicates KernelPower failure, discard the source/memory and SSD, only the battery is in bad condition, it will be possible that the battery is causing this BSOD event , I mention it because the times he gave BSOD he happened to have the battery installed, and last Friday it ran all day without the battery installed and didn't generate any events
At the moment I am checking the mosfets and voltges in general everything seems to be perfect on the main board
