    32ohm between gate and source.
lets see, source voltage is 170v
max gate voltage on most mosfets is 30v
chip is bad and mosfet is in question and where is the 10k coming from?

that sounds to me the OB2269 is fubar. Even so the pads measure up without the chip, recheck the whole gate drive and the mosfet. Usually the mosfet fails and dumps high voltage to the gate drive. But sometimes the IC fails and everything else is o.k. Not sure where the 10k come from either.
Kinda on the rare scale, but seen it before.

See pic - R5 is a 10k resistor between Gate and Source that's where it's coming from. I also measure 13.6 ohms between pins 6 and 8 on the power ic itself now that it's out of circuit.

Not sure how to test the mosfet it's not shorted in any way at rest but could be open I guess ? Reads as a transistor from D to S with my meter but that's all I get out of it.

Can this power ic be substituted with something more common ?

The OB2269AP is actually quite common. Even LCSC and many others have it, just not Mouser or Digi.
Pin 6 is the sense pin and pin 8 is the gate pin. That’s why I am saying check out the whole gate drive circuit!

Dell latitude 5590- Dead, No Power draw, lights or anything.
            by xzomboex19x
I have a Dell latitude 5590 of unknown history. exterior looks mint/ barely worn but it is completely dead. I am a complete novice in board repair but do have a background in small appliance repairs so not a complete noob, but close. I have done the usual things i know of o try and revive d dead laptop for example opened up the laptop, disconnected the battery, RTC battery and while unplugged form the charger shorted out the battery pins in the RTC BATT connector. and this has not changed anything.

I took out and re seated the RAM modules and no difference.
            I took out my multimeter...

MacBook Air M1 (A2337 / 820-02016) dead - no power, DFU restore fails after iBSS send, good voltages - NAND dead?
            by hiltsu
Hi everyone, first post here – long-time reader though. I have a dead MacBook Air M1 (2020) that won't charge or power on.

            Device info:
            MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
            Model j313ap (A2337, logic board 820-02016)

            Symptom:
No charging, no power on at all.

            Restore attempts:
Apple Configurator finds the MacBook in DFU mode, as Linux with lsusb: Bus 001 Device 021: ID 05ac:1227 Apple, Inc. Mobile Device (DFU Mode).

It looks like the MacBookAir is in firmware boot loop. I have tried to restore 14.x version and 26.2 (latest) version firmware,...

Power supply Manson NTP-5561 (5661) LCD controller dead - PIC18F87K90 HEX dump required
            by Andreas_de
            Hello!

i got a damaged Manson NTP-5561 (60V, 1,6A DC output) and and the main issue is that the controler IC for the LCD display has a short. The controler IC PIC18F87K90 is mounted on the back of the back of the LCD. Vss-Vdd = 3 Ohm. The 5V and 3,3V power line was killed as well, but that is not a problem. A new LDO 3,3V and 5V 7805 is already ordered.
Replacing the PIC18F87K90 is necessary but that makes no sense without having the HEX dump of the new controler.

Does anybody have such a power supply and could do a HEX dump of the Flash and EEPROM memory?

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
            by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Acer Nitro 16 AN16-42-R4A9 No power, completely dead.
            by Learn2rage
I've hade this computer roughly a year. Last months it started behaving irregularly. Powering off mid stride when on Battery, requiring power to be plugged in to boot even though Battery shows full when booted again, refused charging and power on at some point which I managed to get past by holding the power button pressed long among other things. I've never dropped it, and no liquids. As far as im concerned its in very good condition.

A few days ago, i powered it off, and 30 minutes later it was simply dead. No reaction on diodes on Brick Charger or usb Charger. Tried holding power...
