    Antec Basiq?

Does anyone out there have any experience with Antec's "Basiq" range? Same old poorly cooled Fuhjyyu crap?

    Hi,

no first hand experience, but definately looks like a Fortron. I think the Fortron model is GLC or HLC if I remember correctly.

As indicated here http://www.jonnyguru.com/SMPS_UL.htm the Basiq is indeed OEMed by FSP.
Here in The States, the Enhance 360W ATX units can be bought for < $35, they are very good units filled with Teapo caps.
      They distribute from The Netherlands.

        Re: Antec Basiq?

A friend of mine recently said he fixed 4 of the original version 500W Basiqs made by FSP, all because the same 2200uF, 6.3V CapXon bloated, and one of those PSUs was a spare kept in storage. So I checked mine, which I rarely use, and it also had a bloated 2200uF CapXon (C35), although ESR measured just 0.13 ohm (spec is .090 ohm impedance).

I've come in contact with the BP350, 500, and semi modular 550. The BP350 actually used mostly Teapo. Their heat sinks are horrible but I think they are pretty good after a recap
