    IN WIN(PowerMan) 460W

    Model: IP-P460Q3-2

OST galore! Not a good thing, but are they better or worse than the Fuhjyyu in my dead Antec?

This PSU is supposed to have an efficiency of 75% and features Active PFC. For cooling it uses a single 120mm intake fan but no exaust fan, which I will be adding before I fire it up.

The most difficult area to get cooling air to is next to the solid front panel of the PSU. That is one of the reasons Seasonic has installed an aux 60mm cooling fan, as an intake, in this area on thier new M12 series of PSUs.
If an 80mm fan is attached to the exhaust grill it will divert air from the front of the PSU...I think so anyhoo.

I would just make sure the stock 120 cooling fan is ball bearing and puts out atleast 75cfm @ 12V. The amperage spec on the fan should be .34~.38A.
Make sure the wiring harness does not shield the caps under too much from cooling air.

On PSUs that use an 80mm exhaust fan I will install an 80mm @ 30cfm to the intake grill, right next to where the harness exits. No cutting involved.

Ost are ok, but they shure won`t last forever. IF keept cool, they should be fine, other wise not. I personally replace Ost caps too, in my PSU`s. From some topic`s hear, i have learned, that some of the lower wattage S12 Series PSU`s from Seasonic have problems with Ost`s .

Well, my Fortrons are all ok, no problems there. But they usually have some Teapos, Jamicon and Ost. The Teapos are failing, if not enough airflow, the others have no visible sign of failure. Any way, my FSP350THN-P is now equiped with Pnansonic FM for the most parts.

              Liquid cooling?

I hope my computer does not randomly reboot while typing this. My main system is the AsRock 970A-G/3.1 motherboard with the AMD 8150 chip. I am experiencing FREQUENT and RANDOM reboots once the system is used for a couple of hours (sometimes it reboots before I even get to the Win7/Linux Mint dual-boot screen). The problem MIGHT be the DRAM controller chip (I recently upgraded to the maximum 64 GB RAM). It also might be the VRM chips. I am using a typical aftermarket CPU cooler, which does NOT blow air DOWN onto the VRM heat sink.

              Samsung R530 Bremen motherboard cooling

              Hi,
I'm wondering if anybody out there has much knowledge of Samsung Bremen motherboards.
I've got a Samsung R530 which is about 10 years old, over the last 12 months it developed a worsening problem where when asked to do much work it would shut itself down. I had a good idea this was due to overheating which was confirmed by a temperature monitor programme which showed little balls of fire next to the various internal temperature readings. I could also prevent it shutting down if I placed a huge fan running at full speed in front of its air intake!
So I went in pursuit of...

Help repair Panasonic fridge not cooling
              by mikey5791
              Hi all forum members,

Few days ago, i might have forgotten to close my home fridge freezer door completely. The next day, the ice cubes and frozen meat almost melted halfway and the freezer doesn't feel cool. I shut it off, wipe dry and let it air dry for one whole day. The next day i switched on the fridge, the compressor run for a second and it shuts off(no vibration and no sound at all) only the internal freezer compartment fan is running but is not cooling even i switched on a full day.
After shut off, i dismantle the rear water pan holder and reached to the compressor wiring....

              Designing a peltier cooling system
              by vrasp
              Hi all,

First of all, I m not sure where this thread should go. My apologies if this is the wrong section.

I'm currently studying solvent crystallization in materials and would like to create a discrete cooling system that I can place under a microscope to observe crystallization. To be more specific, I need to create a temperature gradient with freezing temperatures (ideally down to -30°C) on one side and room temperature on the other. After some research in the literature, I found exactly what I need:
