    Which primaries should i use?

i have a choice of using 2 different types of primaries in my psu.

brand new 820uF panasonic ED series.

or a few year old pulls that are 1200uF panasonic FM series.

its for a mushkin HP-550 that already has its secondary recapped. its original primaries were 1200uF jenpo's or asia-x brand (cant recall 100%)

never go down on the primary caps.
i often upgrade to have a margin of safety during a power flick.

so the older caps should still have enough perfomance in them to outperform the brand new caps?

yup. but there is nothing wrong with the TS-ED anyway, 820uF sounds right for ~500W PSU, although im expecting 1000uF.
days are so short when you actually do something..
