UL is Wintech. The "WIN" on the transformers is all Wintech too.

Interesting layout. How they have the AC input going through the heatsinks to the primary side. Bizarre.

I have that same looking power supply round here somewhere also.. with the single heatsink with primary and secondary semis on them, although mine actually has a Wintech sticker on it and its labelled 300W. It'd be interesting to see if there was any difference in its caps... I think mine had Jee caps from top to bottom. On a related note, heres another 250W CompUSA power supply I took pics of a few years back that died a silent death as evidenced by the scorch mark. As I recall it was one of those... "died in the middle of the night while nobody was looking" deals. The CS(?)/Saturn looking caps, along with the Rulycons probably didnt help the situation.

WOW, shoddy heatsinks.... When the casing weighs more than the cooling apparatus, you know its a cheapo....

Wow! I suppose I'm lucky, my two 250w Wintechs are fairly heavy, have decent heatsinks, and have "MK" caps on input and Fuhjyyus on output. Not really worth recapping though.

That's the weird thing about Wintech. You can't blanket recommend them because they make such a wide range of product.

When I was at Delta, my boss handed me a no-name cheapy from Fry's. It was labelled "250W" but I would have been afraid to run it above 150W for any significant amount of time. The +3.3V and +5V rectifiers were rated for only an amp or two over the rating for the O/P - bad design practice. It also had several potential safety issues that had me scared to apply AC power. Cheap crap may be cheap, but it's still crap.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

Asus K53SV MB SMD comp defective
                    by bloodiron
                    Hi all,

I registered to ask a question concerning an smd component on the K53Sv mainboard. My question is: Just beside the USB 2.0 port, there is a 6 pin ic, and just at the right hand side of that a small smd component (see attached pic, bottom left), which in my case is broken in half (dont ask how, idk). Same components can be seen as cluster behind the HDMi port (just above the text H6532). I've already downloaded the schemtics from this forum, but I'm not quite good in reading those schematics. So hence my question: what is this broken part and can i purchase it new from somewhere?...

Transfer old comp info to new comp w/external hard drive HELP
                    by zalmaflash
I am wanting to try this but need advice and a free [if possible] program to do it.
1 1/2 year old HP Notebook with a faulty screen and all my data/programs ect. Windows 10 with all the updates. I want to transfer my data ect. to another working HP laptop just a little newer. It has windows 10 with all the updates also (both are registered to me) and practically nothing extra on it.

I have a new USB to SATA/IDE drive adapter, all the cables, and power supply [if needed], and a 500GB ATA hard drive that is fairly new. I do know how to format/clean it.

                    Do I need...

                    TV LG39LN575S, no backlight power, EAX64905301(2.2), MAP3202
                    by hikomalek
                    Hello,
I would be really grateful for your suggestion how to repair a no backlight power on TV LG39LN575S. There is a visible menu on a screen when I use external torch (so logic board and panel works correctly), there is just no backlight.

I have connected a logic board which is turning on power board and disconnected LED backlight cable.

                    Power board:
                    REV2.0 2013.03.28
                    PCB: EAX64905301(2.2)
                    LGIT PCB P/N: 3PCR00184A

                    IC LED driver MAP3202

                    MAP3202 voltages:
                    (1) EN = 2.75V
                    (2) VCC = 12.05V
                    (3) GATE = 0 V...

                    Dell 2709W
                    by eidam655
                    Hi everyone,

I have a used Dell 2709Wb on my desk that works... Sometimes. There's two symptoms which I'm hoping have a common cause.

Issue #1 is that occasionally, when being turned off for a while, the monitor does not turn on. The power button does not react (nothing lights up), replugging the power cable does nothing. After being unplugged for a few hours, the first insertion still does nothing, but plugging it in the socket again but reversed brings it to life.

Issue #2 is that when working occasionally after an hour or two the screen switches...
