Hello! I was working on a tv that was given to me because it didn't work a magnavox 32mf231d/37 so i took it apart and came across two bad caps. The two caps are labeled LZ 105 c P616 1200uf 35v. My local radio shack does not have 1200uf 35v caps but they do have 1000uf 35v caps, My question is will the 1000uf 35v work or do i need the 1200uf?

Is there a brand name on this cap? I think there is an LZ series made by G-Luxon, which is a low ESR cap for power supplies. Radio Shack wouldn't have an appropriate replacement for that. -

No, go to digikey.com and order one.
Search for Panasonic FM or FR or FC series. Nippon Chemi Con KY, KZE series.. etcComment

Radioshack do not sell low esr caps and they will just go back in a months time or sometimes not work at all.
If Radioshack DID sell low esr caps they would suddenly have a massive market, all to themselves. Personally, if the same happened in the UK to Maplins, and they stocked caps, I would be down there regularly. ive got a modern digital clock radio approx 15yrs old
my question is how long can a clock radio or a simple radio last ss farcas operating hours?
since elec components have limited hour lifecspan i would imagine the radio or clock radio would eventually fail.
the reason i ask is because i have my clock radio on radio function 24/7 for the past 7 years and its still working fine....i leave the radio on ..never turn off past 7years...thats approx 60000 hours
it uses very little power just a few watts i would imagine that may have something... -

I'm trying to fix a digital multimeter. It was working until I blew the fuse (actually the "buzz" for continuity wasn't working). I've now replaced the fuse but it's acting strangely. When I turn the dial to V, nothing happens. But when I turn to anything else, it makes a continuous, very fast clicking sound - like the piezo buzzer is trying to do something. And at each position of the dial (other than V) there are brief flashes of life on the LCD. It doesn't seem to matter if the probes are connected.
