Seasonic SS-200SFD

Hi Guys

well this is project number 2 - this PSU just stopped one evening after a brown out on the AC supply (tranformer somewhere died giving only 80v on the ac line)

i opened it up and discovered
1. The main fuse was blown
2. a number of swollen caps on the secondary

I thought that i measured the switching mosfet was short but it turns out its actually a diode across the mosfet that is shorted

The diode is UGK10K (http://www.datasheetarchive.com/UGP10K-datasheet.html#)

So my first question here is does anyone know of an equivalent of this diode as it doesnt seem to be available and the usuall places?

You need to replace it with an 800V 1A ultrafast diode (<= 35ns recovery time).

Yeah but i can only find reference to SMD packages when searching - any idea of a easy obtainable par number??

even better can get this one at the local jaycar 4007

The original was max 35ns, so those are a bit slower. Might work, or might not, depending on how they spec'd the original circuit.
