    Bliss ATX-300 anything but - no PW_OK

    Motherboards won't fire up with this power supply
    If I force it on by shorting PS_ON and GND, with an old disk as load, voltages are about right with exception of PW_OK which shows 0.059v
    Could those little capacitors near the grey PW_OK wire in the second pic be the culprits, or is problem likely to be something more fundamental ?

    I run into these quite a lot at work (often with bad fuhjyyu caps). I'm pretty sure it's a CWT, possibly from their ISO range. I wouldn't bother fixing it TBH, since it doesn't look that good.
    I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

    No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

      Correct.
      I have 2 of these under the names of Cyberlink and TurboLink. Both are pretty gutless, but they do work nonetheless. I only use them as bench PSUs for non-computer, non-critical hardware (i.e. playing around).

        Those ISO series supplies often have General Purpose capacitors such as Fuhjyyu TN and Teapo SEK. Don't use them like that.

          In theory if a PSU was properly designed to work with GP caps it can keep the ripple within acceptable levels, although any PSU cheap enough to have GP caps probably skimped in other areas as well, although the CWT ISO series is probably one of the better built "cheap" PSUs.

          However I'd personally be hesitant to use a PSU with GP caps on the secondary on anything newer that a Pent III machine.

            The General Purpose caps in them ISOs fail a lot. I would replace them on sight, regardless of brand, in anything somewhat modern.

              I'll definately agree with that, especially the Fuhjyyus

                So i've mentioned that I have this Weller WE1010 that I bought a couple years ago or right soon after they first came out. What I didn't like about it was that I left it on for almost a full 24 hours once so I installed an arduino controlled relay that was programmed to cut power at 45 minutes ... then I didn't like that it didn't have a backlight ... i work in dark-ish conditions quite a bit when im messin with this stuff so I made a solid effort to install a backlight and I actually kind of succeeded ... the iron still works but some of the segments on the display stopped working ... so i figured...

                Laptop stays on for only ~10sec when battery is connected, fine otherwise (Lenovo ThinkBook 15 G4 AMD)
                by wraster
                I have a Lenovo ThinkBook 15 G4 AMD (HLXB5 LA-M062P) that, when the battery is connected, starts up and shuts off in about 10 seconds, even when connected to power supply via USB-C charger. When the battery is disconnected, the computer stays on as in normal/expected operation (powered by USB-C charger input). I bought a new battery and see the exact same thing. My conclusion is it is not the battery itself but maybe some circuit or component involved in battery/DC-in crosstalk. I found a schematic but not boardview (request link below - sorry for the formatting, I'm not sure how to make an inline...
                Hi, I have a TB 15 Gen 4 that has an issue with the battery circuits. I believe the schematic is the same as this one: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubleshooting-hardware-devices-and-electronics-theory/troubleshooting-laptops-tablets-and-mobile-devices/schematic-requests-only/3522169-lenovo-thinkbook-14s-yoga-gen2-la-m062p

                Haier HVTB18DABB Wine fridge thermoelectric board - bad caps?
                by Jneub007
                Hi! Hope you can lend me some advice.
                I am attempting to repair a Haier HVTB18DABB thermoelectric wine fridge. Both fans work, but the temps are not changing in the dual zones. Upon inspection, I believe this cap (pictured) and possibly another may be the culprits - based on the base of the caps and what looks to be dried dark liquid at the base. Assuming that is abnormal?

                Do you agree and which product do you suggest replacing with?

                Very much appreciated! Let me know if more info needed. ...

                Macbook Air A2337, 820-02016-A stuck at 5V
                by Jonnx
                Hello everybody,

                I have seen a lot of posts about the A2237/A2338 about the 5V not boosting up to 20V issue, but none of them seem to have the exact problem as my board does.

                My PPBUS_AON was measuring ~9.32V and the board kept power cycling, so I removed the fuse F5200 to measure PPVBAT_AON_CHGR_REG and indeed it was still 9.32V, but the board stopped power cycling. Then I measured U5200 values and got this:

                U5200:
                PPDCIN_AON_CHGR_R = 5.144V
                AUX_DET = 1.287V
                VDD = 2.767V
                VDDP = 2.767V
                AUX_OK = 0.848V
                AMON = 0V

                Gainward RTX 3060 12GB with unusually low VCore
                by Nick Nougat
                Hi, I'm currently trying to diagnose a Gainward RTX 3060 12GB "Pegasus" that I bought as damaged. I know nothing of its prior history.

                A boardview for an MSI model, which matches the board layout apart from some resistor values I saw, was already uploaded in the past if you'd like to have a look (I used file V397_70). See www.badcaps.net/filedata/fetch?id=2101580

                It does not have any shorts but it's not detected by the system (i.e. not even shows up in the output of lspci and the CS pin of the Flash chip is never accessed, so apparently the GPU does not boot.....
