Well, the review I was speaking of (the reputable one, not the Hardware Secrets "preview") was the one at TechGage.

But Matt is going to send me a unit that he's getting from MGE and I'm getting a PCB that allows me to hook the load tester up to PCI-e connectors, so I should be able to review it here in the next month or so.
Rest in peace BFG. You were... a job...

Photos of the GameXStream 700W: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16127988

Does it really look like it can handle 700W?

indeed looks like a Fortron, particularly an FSPxxx-xxGLC

we have been discussing the new fortrons here :

Latest FSPxxx-xxGLC/GLN models have relatively small heat sinks. What's going on?

the xbt labs article linked there is interesting.

        they are probably correctly rated.

          Veineda 1660 Super (pny xlr8 1660 super rebadged) - fan 100%
          by Kashi1712
          Hello all,

I have a veineda 1660super ( this is a rebadged pny 1660super xlr8, same pcb, same fans, same cooler)

Card is working fine, sensors reports fan speed at 32% but they are running at 100%. I thought it was only a fan issue, so decided to replace them but still same issues.... Wondering if I've not a problem with wiring.

Could someone that have one of both veineda or pny, post the cable wiring for the fan? (Color and order) or send the model of fans' on yours?

Also, if somebody have multimeter reading for each pin for the fan...

          P15 Gen 1, Error 2203 but B0 / C0 are okay. possibly GPU swap?
          by EnderFFX
          Hello!
I bought a P15 Gen 1 as defective and without much hints to its history.
Was sold as "cannot start, weird stuff on screen".

So i bought a replacement GPU (2070 Super) and BOOM it worked immediatly, i got lucky.

Only that error 2203 every single time with beep loud enough to wake the kids is annoying.

I sincerly tried to read up and got a U One to work (3.5.40, that update tool will always say 3-5-40 is latest on cloud althiugh i ran it 3 times, it updated once from 3.5.30 to .40. Is that a problem? P15 Gen 1 is old anyways...)...

Crest Smart Home Single Power Adaptor SHSPM1 (rebadged Tuya device) - bad cap causing failure, how to repair
          by mrdevil
          Hi all,

Wanted to share this as I couldn't find anything on the internet about this problem, so pulled one apart and found the problem myself. Years ago I bought approx 20 or so Crest Smart Home Single Power Adapter smart switches - small 240v Tuya-compatible (rebranded) smart switch devices with power monitoring, which Big W had on sale for half price. Paid $7.50 each for these, and they've been incredibly useful for turning things on and off remotely... and monitoring how much power each device uses.

However, after about 12 months, I had a number of these stop working...

NAD C320BEE repair possibly bad capacitors
          by Alfieh
hey Im very new to repairing electronics with capacitors as well as using a multimeter so I need so help/guidance fixing this issue

recently I was handed a family members old NAD C320BEE that they had in their loft for storage for a few years but when powered on it went into power safety mode due to a problem on the protection circuit somewhere before it went into storage I was told it worked fine I found lots of people online talking about how the capasitors are known to be pretty bad in this model and can cause this issue the only problem being I don't have much experience sorting...

BeQuiet! Pure Power 9 CM 700W +5VSB only
          by Nabri
          Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying my best to repair a power supply I have recently bought, but I’ve had no luck with it as I can’t find any schematics or board views online for this specific model.
The current issues are as follows:
if I short the PS_ON pin to ground, a relay will click and the fan will spin for 0.1 seconds, and then nothing else.
I could not find any blown components or IC’s inside, but measuring all the output pins has led me to a conclusion of sorts, I only have +5VSB and all the other power rails show a very small voltage, like, 0.30V,...
