need help ..COOLERMASTER RP-650-PCAR trouble ..

    hi all..greetings
I have problem in last a week ..
my recent psu doesnt start normaly in 24pin 8pin motherboard
when plugged into the 24pin 8ppin motherboard .. .. psu does not turn on, but standby light is on ... if i push the power button theres no reaction ,still in standby condition..
but if i plugs into the 20pin and 4pin motherboard .. the psu run normal ..all the voltages (+12v, +5v , +5vsb.etc) within the limits of 5% tolerance ..
btw..this is not apfc psu ..still have switch for changing 100 /220 (passive pfc, of course) ..
i live in indonesia ..so i use 220v ( i already checked the apfc switch)
    any suggestions and solutions?

    done for inspecting :
    1. the caps full of capxon
    2. the secondary caps seem bulged ( just few of them)
    3. powering psu with jumpering ps-on and ground ( green+black ) and 2 dvd rom for load..psu turn on normally ..voltage still within limit of 5% tolerance (checked with DMM)

    thanks for help ..

ps:sorry for my bad english ..

Replace the caps. Then try it.

Drives do not load 3.3v line. Critical to be smooth power from PSU to CPU.

Motherboard caps could also be weak or failing.

I see at least three defective Capxcom KM an Kf series output filtering caps plain asw day. That PSU needs a full capacitor replacement.

          @Evil Lurker ...you're correct

          2 capxon KM 2200uf 10v
          1 capxon KF 4700uf 10v

btw..do i have to full recap all the caps ?? or just partial that looks bulged ??
what rating for replacement ?? bigger capacitance ?? bigger volt ??

here's the pic of 3 bulging capxon caps ..

Replace all the capxons on the secondary side. The others probably aren't far off failing.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

              whooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..
              thanks for all advise ..

i first recap the 3 of suspected bulged capxon
              2 capxon KM 2200uf 10v >>>>>> replaced with ltec 2200uf 10v
              1 capxon KF 4700uf 10v >>>>>> replaced with pcetul 3300uf 10v
(replacement salvaged from other psu lying around)

finally ..this psu would turn on pluged into P5E X38 mobo ,,with his radeon 4830 (1x6pin pcie)
do a quick 3dmark test ..passed
              superpi test ...passed
everest stability running for about 3 hours ...
voltage rail still within limit of 5% tolerance

next ...will do full recap all secondary capxon caps ..

thanks for badcaps ..Toasty ; Evil Lurker ; c hegge ....

If it's working for now then take the time to source some good quality caps and recap the whole thing next time it has to come out.

QFT... Just because Delta gets away with Ltec it doesn't mean they're good. And PCE-TUR are likely old enough to only get one more year tops.

Antec BP500U PSU fried in my wife's gaming PC. I smelled something unpleasant last night, so I had a hunch something might be amiss. Woke up this morning to a popped breaker and immediately assumed the APFC cap must have blown. I last fixed it sometime in 2011, there's a thread about it here someplace. APFC and secondary caps that time. Replaced them with Panasonic caps. 10+yrs is probably a good run. It's been running 24/7 the last 3yrs, eth mining with a 1070ti and AFK fishing in Black Desert Online, lol.

Anyway, cracked it open this morning, expecting it to just be the APFC cap...

Hey guys, I'm feeling like a noob trying to get flexbv to work to be able to download and view a particular board view of a mac mini 2018. Ive tried to read how to use the open board data but it's appearing to be a little confusing on how to actually look up a particular boardview. I'm using the free version to get my feet wet with the software. Ive checked to make sure under the program preferences the openboarddata.org is in the right spot which appeared to be there by default but im not able to open up and board preference to search for a specific board view. I'm probably confused on how it...

Hello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...
