    External Power supply matching

Hello: I have an LCD TV that requires an external power supply, which has gone missing. The requirements are (15v, 6A) . I have located one which is rated at (19v, 6.25A). Would the extra voltage harm the TV at all? I am reluctant to use it at the moment in case there is any short or long term effects, which I dont need. Also would there be any way to build one or modify the one I have by changing resistor value, or voltage regulator.?
Any information would be greatfully received.

    Regards:Andy.

    Probably, and probably very quickly.

Get a laptop adjustable power supply and set the voltage properly. They are cheap.
