    Dps-350ab-8a

Found a bulging CapXon in my PSU, and I plan on completely recapping it.

    It has the following caps:

    CapXon (2) 680uF 200V LP 85c
    (1) 100uF 25V GL 105c bulging and bung pushing out
    (1) 22uF 50V GL 105c
    (1) 10uF 25V SZ 105c

    UCC (2) 1500uF 16V KZG 105c

    Ltec (1) 470uF 10V LZG 105c
    (1) 330uF 25V LZG 105c
    (1) 100uF 50V LZG 105c
    (1) 1000uF 6.3V LTG 105c
    (3) 2200uF 10V LTG 105c

    Taicon (1) 2.2uF 50V VT 105c
    (1) 2200uF 6.3V PW 105c

Have the specs on all except for Ltec LTG series and Taicon PW series.
Plan on using Panasonic FC and either Panasonic TS-ED or TS-HC.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

      Recap completed.

I went with Panasonic TS-ED series for the large snap-in caps. I also went with the 10V rated caps instead of the 6.3V caps.

      2) bottom after recap
      3) ESR of bad cap

            Picking caps for Antec SU-380
            by ajdrenter
In my search for a proper 5v heavy ATX power supply, I selected an old Antec SU-380 that I've had in storage for a long time. Opening the power supply reveals a couple bulged capacitors. I removed all the caps and made a map for myself. I found the datasheet for the PCE TUR series in this thread:
            https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14159
It says these are general purpose, so I assume I can replace them with any general purpose capacitors, but I don't really know anything about power supply circuits or reading capacitor datasheets. Despite this, I've been shopping for replacements:...

            A1289 Mac Pro "Early 2009" PSU (ACBel FS8001-291H, 614-0455)
            by MeltedDuron
So a couple of days ago I picked up a 2009 8-core Mac Pro in "as seen" condition at a price that was too good to pass up, got it home, eventually managed to install OS X on it, and then it died while downloading updates. This machine looks like it was used for heavy video editing work as it still had a Blackmagic capture card and two GPU's installed, but I expect we'll see a lot more of these 2009 Mac Pro PSU's failing soon.

After it died, the machine made some clicking noises, like it was trying to fire a relay but something wasn't working right, so it kept randomly clicking...

            Can I replace 15uf capacitor with 22uf?
            by cap__
"If I wanted to replace an old 15uF/400V capacitor with a new one,
I have a new 15uF/400V and a new 22uF/400V capacitor. When measured, the new 15uF reads only 13uF, and the 22uF reads only 20uF. Can I use the 22uF capacitor?"

Delta DPS-300AB-24b 300 Watt ATX PSU recapping
            by momaka
Figured I’d separate the recapping details of this PSU in a different thread so that the information can be easier to find. To be more specific, this thread is about recapping of the Delta DPS-300AB-24b, shown here. All details about the build quality of that PSU are posted there.

Here is the PSU, just to see what we are dealing with:

And here is a cap diagram:

Let’s break it down what goes where…

            *** cap spot C953: Taicon PW, 10V, 680 uF,...

MacBook Air 820-3209-A Missing (3) AGX 22uF Decoupling Capacitors
            by Cory Marqusee
            Hi Everyone,

            I have a MacBook Air I've repaired, a mid-2012 13-inch 820-3209-A. It works. My only concern is that it is still missing (3) 22uF (0402 4V 20%) VAGX decoupling capacitors. Specifically, capacitors C1730, C1731, and C1732.

How necessary are these capacitors? It has (11) 22uF to begin with; missing (3), my board now only has (8).

I've been having difficulty sourcing new replacement capacitors without paying too much. Does anybody have any vendors state-side to recommend? Mouser charges parts + $8 shipping + $7 cutting fee (unless I buy an...
