E-Bike battery connected the wrong way

    Hello,

I have a 36v ebike battery , and I managed to connect the charger in reverse way . Thank you Giant for not making the connector fool proof.

The connector has the following pinout:

    P+ , A, B , C, D , P-

P I am guessing is the power input
A-D is to check the voltage from each cell bank

I have taken the battery appart, but the circuitry is deep in some silicone ... to protect it from water.

Before I go any further with digging , do you think there are any chances to repair this battery ?
Could there be any protection circuit that might blow to protect the rest ? in this case any idea how I can identify that ? what to look for ?

By looking the the components , there doesn't seem to be anything obviously burned / broken

    Thanks for the help

Yup. I have borrowed one from a fried and the battery behaves the same

Or you fried the BMS board

With that said you should never assume that red is positive and black is negative you need to check it with a meter I have also done this myself before because some manufacturers do not always follow the normal guidelines for red is positive and black is negative also some battery cells are not normal either Lithium-Ion Lipo 4 battery cells are different than normal Lithium-Ion battery cells

was there any heat or smoke involved?
What are the voltages on each cell of the pack, are they normal?

Strange you had access to the interstitial nodes, which means that it was monitoring something...wrongly... also I don't know what's doing balancing either, if you have access to the interstitial nodes, the charger had to deal with balancing too.

thats a lot of stuff on that board!
i'm not sure what the extra wires are for - more pcb pictures would help as it seems to have the wire-points labeled on the board

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                    by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Lenovo P43s won't boot with internal battery connected – looking for help diagnosing battery issue
                    by code share
                    Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.

Here's what I've tried so far:
                    • Power/EC reset (held power button for 60 seconds with battery and AC disconnected)
                    • Booted successfully on AC power only with the battery disconnected
                    • Visual inspection of the battery — no swelling, burn marks, or connector damage
                    • Battery

Acer Predator Helios 300 - will not power up if battery is CONNECTED
                    by survivalbloke
This was a no power initially. Thanks to your help, I discovered it was the first mosfet, so I replaced. Now, the device will power up only if the battery is NOT connected. As soon as I connect the battery, it shuts off. If I connected the battery while the device is off, it simply will not respond to the power button. I replaced the battery, and while I suppose the new battery could be faulty, I'm assuming it is not. I'm having the same behavior with the new battery. I measure .2v at the charging coil. Manually applying power to the + and - at the battery header, there is no charging happening....

820-2915-A Wont power on with battery connected
                    by beogeek
Ok so this doing my head in and hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to assist.

I've got a MacBook Pro 820-2915-A it will power on without the battery connected, but when the battery is connected it will do a 2,3-second fan spin when pressing the power button and then nothing.

After measuring and probing around I found that R7051 was bad, reading high instead of 2.2Ω so I replaced it. Still the same issue, I have the green light on the charger but it won't power on or charge the battery.

So to cut the long story short I've replaced U7000,...
