    Huntkey model: Hkf1502-3b

I would like to share with you the good voltage testing of SMPS HK1502-3B for Lenovo All In one computer.

    this is resonance Half bridge.

The 198VDC comes from the resonance IC supplying the Transformer for the 12VDC.

    2. Check first the Big Filter capacitor using voltage testing (DC) with around 395 -400VDC if sometimes you see 350V check the Big Filter capacitor first but for me I all I encountered the IC for the resonance IC has issue if 198VDC is show this means that resonance IC is working properly.

    3. Other issue mostly the POWER IC: TNY278PN and the defective starup resistor replace it with the value of 2.2Ohms.

You will see my attachments all voltages comes from the good working SMPS.

Input Filter Filling: How to Choose Components?
        by cheese007
Recently acquired one of those silly Logisys acrylic power supplies and lucked into getting one of the "better" ones (most of an input filter, bridge rectifier instead of 4 diode treatment, OK-sized heatsinks, etc.) and wanted to fill out what I can on the board + get some decent caps on there (especially the primary side since I highly doubt the ones in there are actually 1000uf). My questions are:

        1. How do I know what components to install re: the input filter? It seem to be missing an X cap, a resistor, and a Y cap.
        2. Where can I find a good heatsink for the bridge...

Trying to locate a capacitor for a Skytec Crossover filter
        by PennyLane
        Hi
I'm trying to locate what i believe to be Radial Electrolytic Capacitors 100v 82uf Non-polar for a Skytec Crossover filter.
        Thanks

Operating frequency for motherboard common mode inductor/filter
        by J_T
I have a question - I have replaced the PSU on my own iMac Pro. However, when removing the motherboard I knocked of a 120 OHM 30% 0.3A small surface mount common mode inductor/filter (~0602 size) in the ethernet circuit near the female RJ45 port.

The closest match I can find on Mouser is 120 OHM common mode inductor at 100MHz - my question is this frequency correct for a motherboard? The schematic for the motherboard only provides '120 OHM 30% 0.3A' and the TDK part number does not return anything in google.

Sorry, I am not experienced hence a basic question.

Power supply for main amp blows fuses after replacing filter caps.
        by acedogblast
Hello I have a Marantz sr5012 that I have been repairing. After I have replaced the 2 main filter caps the 2 fuses for the power amplifier blows. The original capacitors are ELNA LAO 10,000uF 71V and the replacements are Nichicon LKS 10,000uF 80V.
I assume a short circuit connection has occurred so I set my multimeter to measure ohms across the 2 fuse connections and both read 55 Kilo-ohms so I assume that is ok.

I am certain that I do not have any bridges on my soldering and after probing around I do find a temporary 0 ohm reading when probing across the positive and negative...

Pioneer VXS-D902S Reciever - Filter Capacitor Question
        by grimacelord
        Hello,

I have a Pioneer VSX-D902S receiver that I am trying to replace the 2 large 8200uF 80V filter capacitors on.

I have already removed the capacitors and ordered replacements, but I made a mistake in ordering. The original capacitors are Pioneer ACH1202 80v 8200uF and have 4 pins. The capacitor replacements I bought are Nichicon 80v 8200uF and only have 2 pins.

I was wondering if I could still use my replacements even though they only have 2 pins. Obviously I'd have to extend the pins of the capacitor to allow them to reach and fit through the...
