Standby on new board is steady 6.43v, even during clicking.

That cp804 cap has something to do with the soft start of the IC. What does the on/off pin do?

Solid 3.74v, when it clicks it goes to 0 v, click back to 3.74.

I wonder if it could be a voltage regulator, wondering if ICM801 or ICM802 could be bad?

I might have misunderstood, did you mean the on off of the connector or of ICP801? I was measuring P-on/off of CNM801 connector.

There is stby always on the relay, the transistor switches in the ground making the relay turn on. Well… it’s getting late for me… right now I am brain fried, but that isn’t your fault… had a busy day today.

For shits and giggles, take a 1k ohm resistor and jump STBY to Pon/off and see if the damn thing turns on and stays on.

With jumper, it clicks once, filter cap is steady 384, without jumper filter cap is 169, seems normal but no backlight or sign of activity other than the voltages.

I noticed there's no 12 v at connector CNI804, one of the cables going to the backlight balancer board, I'll try following that back from the CNI804.

RI822 is reading 54k, marking says 1003, maybe that's the problem but that resistor reads 54k on both boards.

The ps/on and standby are 6.5 the filter cap is 384 but the 13, the 5 volts and the 12 volts are all 0 v at the CNM801 connector.

take another 1k resistor and jam it between stby and on /off on the small socket above CNI803. That should power up the backlights. Maybe you also have to put something to the DIM positions.

ICM802 is a regulator for the 12v audio.

hmm... I thought that with the PFC being now forced on, the 5v, 12v etc should be on?

It is a mystery, rigged up a and p dim and on/off from the small connector to 6.5 standby but still no backlight or 12 v at CNI804. Starting to wonder if maybe one of the ccfl tubes got so bad that it refuses to come on but it never got the tell tale pink hue that they usually do before they go out, it's a damn head scratcher.

Seems like the balancer boards are connected in a strange way, was reading another thread where the guys tv fell over and broke the screen and he couldn't figure out how to remove them and the tubes broke when he tried, I can't see a way to remove them either.

Odd balancer boards, looked at the left one, don't even see a fuse to check on it, but I guess with 12v not even getting to the connector pin that they are prolly not the issue.

I don’t understand why you got the PFC running, but no secondary voltages, besides stby. Beats me at the moment.
