    Are 11N80C3's available any more?

Hi all. I am trying to locate a 2 pin (TO-220-2) 11N80C3. I can only find these in 3 pin packages. Are they no longer available in 2 pins?

I am also looking for a 10F60UHF in the 3 PIN package. The one in the photo has a broken middle pin.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Al

How can a transistor 11N80C3 have two contacts, the middle leg is broken off.
And 10F60UHF is a diode, it should have two contacts, not three.

You also damaged the board by ripping out the feed thru's

        Thanks for the reply.

If I replace the 11N80C3 with a 3 contact version, can I remove the middle leg myself and it will still work? That's the way it came out of the power supply.

And a colleague of mine suggested I try a 10F60HF3 TO-220F to replace the 10F60UHF since we only saw the 2 contact UHF like you mentioned.

True...but there is still continuity on the traces. I may need to grind the holes a bit to get more solder in but the connections are good.

Mounting and Handling Guidelines for TO220 TO220F TO247 Cases / Packages

The TO220, TO220F and TO247 are the popular packages for power devices because of their versatility and ability to dissipate moderate amounts of heat. This application note describes the basic guidelines for handling power MOSFETs in TO220, TO220 and TO247 packages shown in Figure 1. Please note that only mechanical and soldering guidelines are covered here. Additional precautions are required for isolating high voltage rated devices to meet safety regulations.

            Repair Success! Middle Atlantic UPS2200R-IP
            by valvashon
Yesterday I successfully repaired a Middle Atlantic UPS2200R-IP that had inadvertently been used as a surge suppressor at our transmitter site. It has already been replaced with an updated one but it's coming home with me now instead of being e-cycled. To be specific, this is the MA model that has the blue backlit display and has been discontinued, although this design may have been used in many UPS units including the smaller Middle Atlantic ones in this series.

Here's what happened: We experienced a brownout/surge at the site, which damaged the UPS and took our broadcasting...

Asus UX501J - EC (IT8585VG) burnt by broken charging port middle pin
            by coni
            Hello.
I'm trying to repair an ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501J and I need a little help. The story is like this:
The charging port broke and +19v touched the middle pin, therefore the super IO chip now has a hole in the middle (so obviously I will replace it, it is IT8585VG), but there is also a nearby resistor burnt and I don't know it's original value. Here is a picture attached with the resistor (the one circled with red), anyone knows how can I track down its value? It seems to be connected between the middle pin and ground, so its value is important, I think.
            Thank you....

Could HP middle pin cause damage to SOC?
            by liquidzorch
Hello. I am about to get my new motherboard for a damaged starwars edition HP laptop (15 an001). The original motherboad got a short on 3.5v line, I traced it to the SOC (processor) and with the price of a new reballed i5 processor, it was better to just buy another board.

I still don't know why it would fail all of a sudden, I had just paced it down, I was watching a video, it kept playing then a second after I placed it down it shut off.

Now I am wondering if I should buy a new power supply, maybe there is a short between the middle pin and 19v line that occured...
