by JmineHello guys,
I've got this motherboard with me that turns on when the charger is connected(without pressing the power button), the fan is fully spinning and it doesn't display anything. there is led flashing 3 amber 5 white. voltage readings are also weird, sorry I couldn't find the schematics for the board.
Voltages are as follows,
@ PL5301: 1.015V
@ PL4401: NO voltage
@ PL4501: 5.100V
@ PL4502: 3.408V
@ PL5101 near RTC: NO voltage
@ PL5001, PL4801 PL4802, PL4701: NO Voltages

- I have tried replacing batteries with a known
- if I shutdown the laptop with adapter connected and lets say remove the adapter after 5-10

Hi everybody,
I have a Dell Vostro laptop with the VEGAS/TURIS SKL/KBL 15341-1 motherboard. Without notice, the other day the laptop was dead and as soon as I plug the charger in, the LED on the charger itself shuts off, as if detecting a short circuit in the motherboard. Measuring on the board between + and - of the plug shows no evident shorts (readings are in the hundreds of kOhms). If I plug a bigger charger with a higher current limit, it will stay on and some chips get hot. Using a thermal IR camera, a couple of mosfets get hot (but, testing them, they are not shorted, I think they... - Loading...
