    bricked S145-15API Bios

    Hello dear bios experts,

I had with a Lenovo laptop

    S145-15API
    Model name: 81UT
    S/N: PF26PMS0
    MTM: 81UT0047GE
    Factory ID: JVHFC1

ran updates that included a firmware/bios update.
All updates were executed and during the bios update, the system reacted strangely and started again and again with the message System updates are being executed. Last but not least was just a black screen with the power button flashing.
I assume that the bios update failed, no boot anymore.
I have read out the BIOS chip with a CH341A and NeoProgrammer and wanted to ask how to proceed to not make things worse.
Gladly I send the read out Biosfile, which looks shot up in the upper part.
Is it necessary to integrate the SN and other things in a new file? Have unfortunately of this fascinating topic very little Knowledge and would be very very glad and grateful for any help (possibly reprogrammed bios file?).

    Many greetings to all

When you ask these questions, you should attach the corrupted bio file, someone will fix it for you, integrating the device's DMI information is necessary so posting the original bios (even though it is broken) is always request.

Here's your new bios file, it's a virgin bios from Lenovo with your DMI.

Erase chip -> Blank check -> write -> Verify.

Oh my god, wonderful...it's booting again!
Top done hardware1, many thanks for your help and time.
How can I synchronize such a file or insert the DMI data in a new Bios file?
                    Very interesting topic!
I compared both files with Beyond Compare but I don't understand the differences I see.

Download the file from the official website, extract the .FD or .CAP file using InnoExtractor Tool, compare the 2 files and remove the extra data then your DMI should be starting from 0h to 3000h.

                        Hi again,
could you tell from my old bios file if the no longer booting bios was defective?
With what tool best compare the 2 files because of the Offset specification?
                        Many grateful greetings

My little knowledge doesn't help me understand if your dump file was defective or not, otherwise I'm always building a new file to be precise.
You can use any hex editor like (HxD).

                                Re: bricked S145-15API Bios

hello, i can't make a new post as I'm a new user. I have the same problem as you and same model and make.

I bricked my laptop after a bios update.

I have the cap file, trimmed and all after using this tutorial: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...pi#post1175475

i dont have a CH341A yet, but i'm willing to buy one and learn to tinker with it.

I tried to follow this tutorial: https://gbtechtips.blogspot.com/2020...r-bios-do.html but i can't extract the bios using innoextract. i get this error: "Could not open file "Bios.exe"
Done with 1 error." I'm in the right directory, the filename is correct and i've run it as admin. I've tried using two versions 1.9 and 1.8 and the same BUCN33WW bios version i got from lenovo's website.

is there any way i could get the BUCN33WW bios extracted to the fd format, so that i could follow that tutorial? would it work?

could someone help me, please? im desperate
