• Hmm,

Previously, the power LED, charging light and camera LED were constantly lit, but no boot process and no fan.
Now the power LED and the charging light are also lit, but second flash briefly every 5 seconds or go out for a very brief moment.
What no longer lights up is the camera LED. There seems to be a change, but unfortunately no boot possible so far.
I have left the power supply connected for longer and now the charging LED is also white, previously orange.
On the USB Ports no power. What else could I do?

Best regards

• did you mean a new super io or bios chip?
how to check for broken SIO?

• Top, thanks for the info. I'm reassured now.
Sorry for the mistake.
Is the SuperIO also programmable for the same model?
Is there a file for it?
It's a Lenovo IT8586E.

• Hello friends,

a long time ago I asked for this bios for a 100-15IBD 80QQ
with SN: PF0Q50J1, MTM: 80QQ01GCGE.
Only now have I realised that the bios file offered for download had a different name (15IJB).
Was it the correct one and just misspelled? possibly my mistake back then?
Can this be checked retrospectively? I still have the old laptop here, if it wasn't the correct one, I would like to try again.

• Lenovo 330-17-ikb, PowerLED on but nothing else

Hello dear forum members,

I have a friend's laptop (Lenovo 330-17-ikb) here that can be switched on (PowerLed lights up), but there is no picture and the fan is not running (CPU cold).
The battery is charging. If you switch off the laptop with the power supply plugged in, it switches on again immediately.
I didn't notice anything on the board when I first opened it. Only one thing, if you don't have the power supply plugged in and then switch it off, it stays off. Strange.

Then I removed the board completely because of strange smell and found a burnt

• Hi DynaxSC,

hmm, that's a really radical method, that would be very unpleasant for me.
Especially as I need exactly the revision 1.1 of the board, as I saw in Youtube videos during unboxing etc. that the 1.0 did not have a small mosfet at that point.
Probably changed from 1.1 onwards.
This makes the whole thing even more difficult, although it's only about small chips in the cent range. Without knowing what was there, it's really difficult.
A correct Rev: version boardview could of course also help, but is very difficult to obtain with relatively new

• Hello,
yes so far clear, but how or how do I know which 3-pin chip is missing on the right without a circuit diagram or board view? I'm guessing a 2n7002 but would like to be sure.

Hello SMDFlea,
thank you!

Hmm, then the backup was basically despite the error message
of the SVOD4 was ok after all?
Thought because this error message came in combination that the readout took only about 4 seconds,
the file was defective. With the Ch341a it took much longer! And it didn't give an error message.
It would be good to know if the SVOD4 itself is ok.
Have you been able to find the thread where this was mentioned before?

thanks for your message.
of course I intend to do that, but on closer inspection you can see that an additional 3-pin SOT-23 chip (possibly N-channel mosfet) seems to be completely torn off.
With a highres picture or Boardview or Schematic you would have the exact designation required to get a replacement and solder it back there after repairing the track.

Hello SMDFlea,

I have find and just started with a 5 Euro part ch341a with mod and the AsProgrammer1. 29 and flashed it successfully.
Were you able to extract the DMI data from the backup including the uuid?
It's a shame that the 5 Euro part does the job while the almost 300 Euro part goes on strike... 😭
Thank you very much, if everything was taken over by you at dmi data everything fits, it does boot.

• Need Foto backside MSI ms-7e12 Ver:1.1

Hello dear forum participants.

I have received a motherboard from a friend with the following problem, which I would like to solve.
It is a MSI ms-7e12 mag tomahawk wifi VER: 1.1.
On the back upper right corner near the exit panel a small chip has been hit (bent and some pads torn off)
and I suspect a 3 pin sot-23 chip (possibly mosfet) nearby might have been hit as well.
Would need a photo of the back of this area but from revision 1.1 as the 1.0 was slightly different from what I saw in videos on yt.
But pictures say more than a thousand words.

I already use the old programmer with the
good Pomana Clip. Never had any problems.
The PIN check also says that all pins are recognised correctly.
I think it will be tomorrow with the search for the old device.
Hmm, you write that you should go back to older software, maybe still an option.
Thanks for your help anyway.

Something is unfortunately wrong, sorry for the inconvenience.
I used before a very simple Eeprom programmer, which worked well.
Now, for the first time, I have a more expensive SVOD4 and I only get error messages like the following,
maybe I'm doing something wrong, was the bios I read out earlier usable?
I thing i search for the old programmer to test, but it was a long time not used, i hope i find it.

Software version 0.0.5.4 date 5.08.2024
Running Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60GHz

Hi again,
as you could see earlier in the log file, the reading only took max. 5 seconds!
I think this is too short, or is this normal?
In combination with the Verify False it would be good to have someone who is fit in the subject check the bios please briefly
for content and DMI files before I overwrite it.
Best regards

PS: Ahh, you posted shortly before me. I will try, thanks a lot.

Hello SMDFlea,

thank you for your quick reply.
Unfortunately I have no experience with this, but I'll see what I can do.
I thought the one I read out was faulty because I got the error when I read it out:

Hello dear forum members.

I also have a Lenovo V130-15ikb here with the same problem as most of you.
When switching on, only the capslock button is permanently lit and the power button, fans turn but no image.
This happened after a bios update.

Here possibly important data:

• Hi again

do the large value differences in the ohm range play a role and the strongly deviating switching times in ms?
The values can be seen exactly in comparison in the pictures.
Many thanks for your help.

• Thanks for the video link.
The cracked mosfet as seen in the picture seems to be OK in terms of measurements.
You can easily tilt up the black housing and see the MetalContacts underneath.
Does the connection to the inner metal contribute to the function and electrical values?
Should I decide to change, which of the two suggested (comparisons with markings are in the last post) would you take for the MSI pro Z790-p wifi?)

Many thanks for your help.
