Hi guys,
I got this Dell 3593 (la-j091p) here and I already used Dell PFS Extract tool to decompress the latest 1.10.1 version bios from Dell site. I can find the 16mb file in the extraction folder but the laptop has a second 8mb chip for which I am not sure where to get the .bin.
The extraction folder contains a "1 -- 7 BiosConnect Wireless FV v1.12.2.bin" file which is 8637kb but in HxD is disimilar to a 8mb file I already downloaded from a bios site.
Any ideas on how to get the latest v1.10.1 8mb bin file?
The laptop currently flashes the caps lock. I tried to dump the original bios ICs but both give read error in rt809f.
I am trying to get the latest bios as I recently discovered that older bios dumps seem to not work if the laptop has been updated to a newer version before breaking down. Not sure if thats true and why.
Please advise.
Thank you in advance,
BR,
George
