Re: T460S Boot screen
You must enable bios rollback in bios settings if the update version is the same as you have.

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.
I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...-

by iZakreHello everybody!
To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.
The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer... -
by Max029I've searched and read Beginners guidelines and other sticky threads. This is just a simple bios question. If I may, I'm having trouble finding any help, including from lenovo tech support & forum, for how to get usb boot to list in boot options. I'm trying to run memtest86 so nothing as highfaluting as re-install, flash a bios, etc.
I've made usb boot enabled and secure boot is disabled. I can find no other option in bios ver LZCN34WW (the original bios). Would anyone here be familiar with LOQ or Legion bios versions & know what is going on?

by mitchwJust had a customer bring in a HP 14s-fq1010nm to do some maintenance.
After updating the BIOS to the latest (F.35) I get black screen (no backlight turning on). However the backlight turns on if I connect an external display to HDMI, but when booting to Windows, both displays remain black.
After disconnecting internal LCD, and plugging in external display via HDMI, it works on external.
I tried downgrading it using official method - using an USB drive with older BIOS version, but it fails, saying that the BIOS files are corrupted. I used about 5 different older BIOS versions...-

So I couldn't remember my bios password and since it was broken screen, I used to connected to the TV via Type C to HDMI. So I decided to remove the Bios chip and reprogram the Bios chip with ch314a.. when I try to solder Bios on the laptop, one of the Bios leg broke off.. I bought a new blank Bios chip so I can programmed by flashing on the bios.2 Photos
