Hello, I have a Lenovo x380 with bios password and computrace ; I have followed this guide from MaxPower (Thanks for the tutorial ) : https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-ec-pwd-bypass ; Unfortunately , the method failed as there was a risk of bricking . Now , the laptop keyboard light up and down but there is no post no lenovo logo nor display. fan run one time then shut down. I think that the bios may be corrupted. Hence, i have made a copy of the corrupted bios. Can you please see make a new working bios ? Thank you.

Update:
Sorry for bothering , I forgot that i have a taken a photo of the bios menu with all the information before doing the shorting method to bypass password. The problem may lie between the bios chip and the EC chip. Is it possible to get a bios bin and EC bin please ? Thank you in advance

Ok , so for flashing the EC file , I had to use the Vertyanov programmer and connect to the EC chip by using the keyboard port ; I read the dump 3 times and saved as many file in order to have a correct copy ; I then flashed the EC chip with the file provided and made sure that the file was correctly inputted in the cheap by reading again. Unfortunately, the laptop, when power on , light capslock, escape, F1 and F4 button then powers off; i have provided here the ec dump i got from the EC chip originallyAttached Files

the files seem to correspond to the structure. I would like to have more normal information.
SER/USR and CON look correct too.
The content is almost identical apart from the 00 and FF which changes.
So for me the file should work.
Maybe at 870, half at 00 and the other half at FF. but nothing crazy
It's late, I'll watch more tomorrow.
Have you tried the bios also provided at the same time as the EC?
Have you seen a change in the habitual symptom?

So I tested again with flashing the bios and EC chip with the files from 4MATIC; Symptoms are still the same pwer led on with some buttons lighting up then totally power off . Beforehand, I read the EC chip flashed with MaxPower file ; I noticed that the file output from the EC chip was different. The file read will be atteched .
Well if the software side is not the problem , I will need to check thorougly myself the hardware part to find what causes this symptom.

Update : So I noticed that i removed pin 7 trace from the motherboard so i had to repair it . I used Bios and EC file from 4Matic : Bios boot to lenovo and the lenovo logo + there is no supervisor password (Thanks 4Matic and MaxPower) appear but i got 2x invalid RFID serialization data with error code 0188 + 0189 and 0177 : Bad SVP data , Stop POST Leak. On top of that there is computrace enabled. I used the lenovo U1 tool to update since the system unit serial number (Which is 1S20LJS13H00MP1L3FZK) since the bios menu displayed INVALID for Machine type model , System Unit serial number and System board serial number. Problem is that upon rebooting to bios menu, the information stays as Invalid; On top of that , Computrace is enabled .
Personnally, i think that computrace may prevent me from updating with the serial number; Hence , do you think that setting a supervisor password then use the DXE patcher may remove that computrace from the board , So i can update the board correct settings ??? Thanks in advance for the feedback.
PS: Also UUID is set to ffffffff-ffff-ffff-ffff-ffffffffffff
