    Macbook Macbook A1990 (820-01041A) T2 Rom

    Hi guys,
Haven't managed to find anywhere the BIN file for a macbook A1990 820-01041A to write data on T2 Rom chip. I have the reader-write tool, but don't have the BIN file. Anyone who can share it? Thanks

              Dear friends,

I have a question to ask.

I received a MacBook with a no-power issue and fixed the no-power problem.
But then I found out the SSD was short-circuited as well.

It was a 512GB SSD consisting of 4 NANDs from the 0 batch.
I transferred all 4 NANDs from a working MacBook Pro board, but it ended up with a failure message: 0xFCA4042.

Later, I tried using the JC Programmer tool to flash all 4 NANDs and solder, but the error code remained the same.

My friend mentioned that after replacing the SSD, we also have to flash the ROM file for the T2. Is that true? If yes, if I paste it here, can anyone help to clean the file?

Hi, I found short on one of 6 black nand (total 1TB).
i removed all 6 nand ( voltages all ok) and now i want to program with JC P15 but for A1990 2019 there is only 512GB configuration.
I try A2141 1TB configurazion with TSB4228 but the position on pcb is different ( U9300 and U9400 is no stuff on A1990 but present on A2141 and U8800 and U8900 is no stuff on A2141 but present on A1990 )
macbook with A2141 configuration run on recovery but don't complete it.
                anyone can help me?

Apple 076-00236 Genuine Apple Data Migration Tool for MacBook Pro 2016 2017
                by samstown
                Hello,

This special tool from Apple is used to recover data from Macbook A1706. I've been using it for a while but it stops working. When connecting Thunderbolt 3 between the tool and working Macbook, Macbook should prompt "new device detected, allow or not"... but it doesn't.

Has anyone ever experience this ? It's not a cabling or power supply issue, some IC have stopped working but not sure which one. Probably the one that manager thunderbolt 3

                Thanks

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size
                by m1ch43lzm
                Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
                Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...

                MacBook Pro 2018 - A1990 Dead - not charging - only 5V
                by robka
                Hi,

                my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 Touch Bar (A1990) doesn't charge anymore. Board# 820-01041-A

I'm not experienced in diagnostics, but I want to try to solve the problem with your help, because every local shop charges around 600€ (650 usd). Which is the value of the whole Macbook.

The Macbook was charging when suddenly the "charging sound" appeared every other second for around 4-5 times.
After that the Macbook was dead. It isn't charging anymore.

The USB-C Port where the charger was plugged is burned. Also The Cable and the...

                Macbook Pro A1990 - 820-01041 Stuck at 5V / 0.02A
                by DATATECH85
                Hello,
I am currently working on a Macbook Pro A1990 (motherboard 820-01041) which is not charging.
The Macbook consumes 5V and 0.019A at USB-C. There seems to be a partial short-circuit on the PPBUS_G3H rail as I have 0V on this rail.

I've physically separated (by removing F7000 and F7001) PPBUS_G3H and the ISL9240 charging chip to see which side the short is coming from. Removing these fuses gives me 12.6V at the output of the ISL chip (PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_REG).
However, I can't work out exactly why I don't have the PPBUS_G3H rail.

                Here are the values...
