Hi,
Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05H won't start. Power button led is on and of about 10s frequency. Nothing more happens.
S/N:PF251ELJ MTM: 82B1005VMX
Tried to start by removing devices one by one but no help. No visible physical damages found in pcb:s. Bios battery voltage is only about 2,4V but I suppose it is not causing problems. I bought CH341A programmer and received it recently. Attached original BIOS dump done with NeoProgrammer V2.2.0.10. I tried also most bios.bins found in this thread without success. I didn't make any DMI or other modifications just uploaded them to bios chip and tried to start pc - wrong?
"You just need to copy the DMI from your backup to that one using a hex editor, with these offsets 75C000 - 75DFFF"
Does this mean I just need to replace this section from original to new bios? Or go through this guide
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...pt#post1214739
I also tried to extract bios from lenovo bios update pack downloaded from Lenovo support site. I used this guide
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...k-bios?t=80861
Bios was packed 7zip instead of TDK packer but 7-zip extracted it. But the length of removed section from the beginning was much bigger than in guide if new bios will need to start with same values than original bios. I suppose it need to start. End offset was told to be 7FFFFF so I removed rest. Then just reprobrammed bios with this file. No success :-)
Could you gurus tell newbie what I'm doing wrong or/and deliver be working bios file. I just don't want to throw laptop to recycle bin yet :-)

Thanks. Tried #17 file FSCN28WW.bin. I tried earlier without modifying - not worked. Now modified bin by copying DMI section 75C000 - 75DFFF according post #32. Still not working - powerlight flash 10 s frequency and no more. Any ideas?Comment

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a specific BIOS for my Lenovo Legion 15ARH05H. Here's the specs/details:
Machine: Lenovo Legion 15ARH05H (Type: 82GU)
Serial Number: PF19KUUH
Board Model Number: NM-D281 Rev 1.0
I seem to have the same problem as Jari Savolainen - every file I've tried so far leads to the laptop turning on, and then shutting down after 10s. I've attached the original file to this post, I was wondering if someone could help with making a file for my specific BIOS?
Jari Savolainen if you've found a solution for this, please do let me know in the meantime!
Thanks!Attached FilesComment

Hi,
I tried both files from post #17 from this thread as they are. And tried both by copying section 75C000 - 75DFFF from my original bios dump to them. No help. Does it mean I have something other wrong than bios? Or I too having DMI corrupted? Attached my latest bios trial. My original is in post #42Attached FilesComment

I've got the same problem, even after flashing the DMI fixed BIOS. I've tried reflowing the SoC, no difference. I believe the problem has to do with the EC Chip, but I'm not sure. Let me know if you come up with anything, perhaps we can discuss this further via DMs too.Comment

Jep I will tell if I'll find anything. Just now no ideas. Nothing look bad in pcb:s but unfortunately I don't have much electronics fixing skills. And new/used mainboards are simply too pricy in ebay/aliexpress...Comment

by grimacelordHello there.
I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.
History:
1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.
I searched for this error online and discovered...-

by jbonavitaHi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-
