Hello i had problem hp probook 450 g8 was locked it has 2 chips 32mb one of theme was lost unfortunately without save the original main dump , the SN: 5CD130G3LX.

Unfortunately the unlocking is done on the EC chip but with the condition that the original bios is kept. In the forum, there is a case of losing the original bios and everything is coming to a standstill.

i know this in my case the laptop has 2 bios chip 32mb first one is EC and the
other is main so i lost the main chip without read or save the dump
and you are correct the unlocking is done on the EC chip
if you have any idea to resolve this or make a new dump help me please sirComment

How did you solve your issue? I had a bios locked 450 G8, i removed chip to read and got someone else to remove password. I flashed the .bin that they gave me to the chip and was in manufacturing mode. Then removed the chip again and was told to flash back the original .bin (which i still have). I then tried updating the bios from inside the bios via ethernet. It had 5 updates to do. On the 5th update, it said finailizing bios update, then retarted into a constant bootloop. Since that, I can no longer get it to boot anymore and it flashes 7 white on num lock, indicating bios. Any help would be appreciated.Comment

the guy who unlocked for me doesnt speak the best english and i feel some sort of miscommunication mightve happend.Comment

The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

Hi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).
I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. I tried to add a custom secure boot key (for secure booting Linux) to my bios, but after this, my laptop bricked. After adding secure boot key (via PowerShell) and enabling secure boot my laptop turns on, shows HP logo, and after 5 seconds it turns off and on, and it repeats forever.
My goal is to either turn off secure boot or remove my custom key from BIOS dump.
