Hi guys,

So I unlocked the bios for this laptop but it seems that the model name and asset tag have been wiped, showing "OEMED Product" on model and "123123123" on serial number. Can someone change this back, I copied the original bios dump and hex edited the product name but it didn't change in the setup, instead shows red unlock sign. Original BIOS dump attached.

I tried the BIOS from an i5 I have here, and it just reboots. If I buy another i7 motherboard with 16 GB, can I clone it as long as it is never used on the same network?
I was up all night messing with this, but I'm lost. I'd really appreciate any help
I do a lot of break-fix work.
We usually replace parts, but never BIOS editing, and we do not do much board-level repair. I'm willing to learn but this so far is way way over my head.

I've gotten the same error as him, and since the laptop shows Surface touch firmware 0.0.0.0 and Intel EC 0.0.0.0, restoring from the USB won't work.
I think the bios I posted just needs the EC cleaned. I still haven't been able to get mine to work.
