Re: Dell Latitude 5520 Bios Password unlock
hoaca388's file is good, I reached same identical file. Check pin to pad solder joint, blown away or moved components. Also, should have been done before soldering chip back on board, verify flashing by taking another reading and comparing to hoaca388's file. Do not rely on automatic verification. Do not rely on clip, always take three good readings and compare, all should be identical, you are messing with the bios, could brick your laptop.Comment

* Service Tag: (Enter your actual Service Tag from the laptop here)
* βBIOS Status: I successfully modded the BIOS file and created FINAL_CLEANED_ME.bin (32MB) with a clean ME region (CSME 15.0), because the original dump was corrupt....-

by Akhlz001Hi,
Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...-

I try plugging charger while pressing ctrl+esc, machine turns on, nothing and after 20 seconds it gives 3 amber 3 white blinks again.

by Jeff'sTechHello everyone.
I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical. I threw in the display and my hypothesis was correct, however, I was greeted with a locked BIOS and since I didn't know the password, I figured I'd try to unlock it somehow. I bought one of those POGO pin probe things for my CH341A programmer so I could read and make... -
by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, π π π ...-
