btw, i'm not sure if my dump was still the original one coz the bios chip was already tampered.

same status with that one. tried also replacing the lcd but with same outcome. maybe it needs a bios file from a known good unit.

The serial number was not found in your original bios and the bios downloaded from the Lenovo homepage was correct.

Lenovo l340-15IWL broken after BIOS update

After a bios update this L340-15IWL was totally unresponsive. I made a copy and tried to fix it myself but I am still not good at it yet. This is a copy of the bad bios that Is untouched. Please help you brilliant people out there.

My laptop is Lenovo ideapad L340-15IWL - Type 81LG. During windows update the new BIOS update was downloaded and during the BIOS installation (after restarting and the BIOS begun flashing) the laptop turned off in the middle of the installation. It was powered back immediately on its own but nothing appear only black screen. It keeps rebooting and only the power button flashes once booted then i can hear the fan and HDD then reboot again and loops. for sure the BIOS is corrupted.

Is there any way I can recover the BIOS without a programmer. I downloaded and extracted the BIOS from the lenovo support website (file attached).

Kindly, If you can help by providing any guide or tutorial to fix this issue or explain how to do it.

I know that i missing many details to complete this operation. so kindly help.

Try to downgrade the bios to an older version while using HDMI. If it doesn`t work after a downgrade its a hardware problem.
