Good morning,
I erase the chip with asprogrammer and the ch351a.
After modifying bios 52 I send it in the chip with the ch341a 1.8v
I know that for many this seems obvious but is my procedure for modifying my bios the right one?
THANKS.Leave a comment:

Good morning,
following an update of the GLCN55WW bios (under Windows 11) of my ideapad 3 15alc6, my laptop became unusable.
I have a Ch341a with 1.8v adapter.
I can read the chip and erase it well.
Laptop:

Bios Chip: Winbond 74M12JWSIQ
Attached is the bios saved after flashing crash.
Is my "oldbios" corrupted?
Thanks for your help.βLeave a comment:

Is CH341a (w/volt selector) with another adapter ok? Any better?
NeoProgrammer v2.2.0 should be used to dump bios from the chip?Leave a comment:

Tnx for the reply, Vesko! π
I didn't make any bios backups previously, so is there a way to extract bios backup/info or something else can be done?Leave a comment:

Hi everyone! π
Myself like most folks here a problem with BIOS as well (black screen, laptop boots up, LED's work), so I would like to ask if the Bios file from the post #12 would help my model?
I have tried all known fixes with unplugging CMOS, ram, battery drains... which ultimately led me here, considering the wide issue with this model.
Lenovo V 15 G2 ALC
S/N: PF3ASAJ1
MO: PF9XB1C25040
MTM: 82KD0041YA
Old (default) bios: GLCN41WW
Installed bios: GLCN55WW
Is DMI info unique for each model or do I have to do anything (make a bios dump from GLCN41WW or something) to have my version working?
Can I have a working bios with v55WW or a virgin v51WW is enough?
I'm new to the modding world, but I learn quickly, so I'm sorry if I haven't managed to follow something more thoroughly πLeave a comment:

It's a virgin bios for your model with DMI transferred, you won't find any better bios, if it's not working your problem is not bios related, or you didn't program the chip as it should.

by macabookHello everyone,
Iβm currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, Iβm at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Hereβs a full breakdown:
𧩠Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

by jbonavitaHi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-
