I have a T14 with a password in the bios for 4 months now and I haven't found any solution.

does the serial number or anything like it have an influence on the patch? or if it works i could use the same as you?
and i need to desolder the bios chip and flash it, right?

The patch will not work as already mentioned a few posts up .Programming the EC seems to be the only way.
