I have been using a ch341a programmer with a SOP-8 clip to read and program the BIOS chips on HP Elitebook 9470m laptops. It works.
But I have two BIOS locked 9480m's that I haven't been able to read up to this point and I'm running out of options.
The chip has "25Q128A 13EC0" on it which I interpret as a Micron 1.8v SPI. I hope that's correct.
I ordered a 1.8v adapter for my CH341A and no matter what I get "no chip detected"... I've tried every orientation. I'm actually thinking the 1.8v adapter might be bad.
Is there anything else I can try? Any suggestions?
