Dell Latitude E6430 bios dumps v.A24 (bios upgrade problem)

    Hi,

I have noticed with Dell Laptops, that once the bios is corrupted, then reflashing the chips with other versions from other machines (ec/main) will work fine in the sense, the machine can then boot again normally, but there is always one issue remaining: The bios can no longer be updated. There are posts all over the internet complaining about Dell bios updates failing. They go through the update procedure and everything looks fine, but as soon as the machine restarts, it just boots normally without actually performing the upgrade.

I have an E6430 (LA-7781P) which I have recovered with files off this forum, but it is stuck at A14. Does anybody have the ec/main dumps for version A24 as that is my only hope of upgrading it (unless anybody knows a trick how to make this work).

I have tried windows/dos forceit options, everything imaginable to get it to upgrade, but absolutely nothing works.

    Your help appreciated!
    Thanks

Dell Latitude 5431 issues with dumping bios
        by Sathsul
So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...

Dell Latitude 5400 Chromebook UEFI bios
        by jhanra
Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...

Dell Latitude 5490 (LA-F401P) - Boots from USB-C only, not from DC Jack after BIOS flash
        by YOUCEF4787
        Hello everyone,
I'm working on a Dell Latitude 5490 with a LA-F401P motherboard that has a very peculiar issue, and I would appreciate your insights.
        Initial Problem:
The laptop was completely dead, no signs of life, no power LED.
        Action Taken:
I flashed the main BIOS chip with a clean dump. This brought the machine back to life, but with a strange limitation.
Current Situation & The Main Issue:
The laptop now works perfectly when powered through the USB-C port. It charges the battery, powers on, boots into the OS, and functions 100% correctly....

Dell Latitude E7270 - Requesting BIOS clean/corrupt? service tag CB00KC2
        by TripTop
        Hi

i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
        - takes long time to restart.
        - sometimes powers on and then off
        - sometimes while working it just dies,

From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?

i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)

As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.
        I reinstall...
