Hi, i have a problem with my laptop and my original bios has master password enabled so i did the following:
1. desoldered my bios chip
2. managed to physically destroy my original bios chip (i know, it's my first time)
3. ordered a new bios chip from eBay
4. installed the new bios chip but it didn't ask me to enter a new service tag in manufacturer mode
5. has a pre-installed service tag and it worked but the fan is not spinning (cannot be controlled from bios or software) so i had thermal issues
6. windows always hang/lags so i pressed the power button multiple times and it finally asked me for service tag number in bios (i don't know how i did this luck i guess)
7. with my original tag, the fan can't spin, other hardware's cannot function properly
dell latitude 5410
Service tag: 7T20L63
EX: 16994382123
Single chip (UC5)
FDZ41 LA-J372P
Rev 1.0 (A00)
i already used the search function. thank you very much.

by Godfather79Hello everyone in the community
Dear Sir,
I need help removing/unlocking the BIOS Service Tag password on my Dell Latitude 5520 laptop.
Problem details:
* Model: Dell Latitude 5520.
* Board ID (from BIOS file): TGL MB 8L 19819-1 (Southpeak15).
* Required Password Code: 3FE2 (BIOS Service Tag Lockout Code).
* Service Tag: (Enter your actual Service Tag from the laptop here)
* BIOS Status: I successfully modded the BIOS file and created FINAL_CLEANED_ME.bin (32MB) with a clean ME region (CSME 15.0), because the original dump was corrupt....-
